Living with asthma can be stressful, and stress can trigger asthma symptoms. This cycle can be challenging to break, but understanding the connection between asthma and mental health is crucial for effective management. Furthermore, asthma symptoms can be similar to those of anxiety and depression, making it essential to seek professional help for accurate diagnosis and treatment. In addition to traditional asthma treatments, therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) can help manage stress and anxiety. Now, talking about the types of asthma. We have allergic asthma, exercise-induced bronchospasm, and cough-variant asthma, and all have a unique impact on mental health.
