About us
The Detroit 2030 District is a private -public nonprofit in which aims to assist building owners & managers in reducing energy, water and green house gas emissions from transportation. The District is a part of a national collaboration and is the 16th District in North America. It is FREE for building owners & managers to be a member. The District will provide educational events and promote open dialogue between the Private & Public sector. Any building owner in Detroit can participate (even if outside the District boundaries). The District is a strategic initiative of the U.S. Green Building Council, Detroit Region.

These are free workshops to answer questions about the ordinance and empower residents with tools to track and reduce their energy costs. A special thank you to Connie Lilley for her years of service creating and building the third-largest 2030 District in North America! Her work and dedication have created a program with nearly 500 buildings and over 62 million square feet dedicated to the Detroit 2030 District. Connie Lilley, LEED AP, AIAD Honorary Affiliate, MBA. Connie was given a beautiful statue with a green flame, signifying her work in the green building industry. Connie will be staying part-time as the Communications Director.
