Milestone achieved🎉 On January the 30th 2025, the “GPATE Support Contract” marked a major step with the meeting between Leonardo representatives, #NHI Directoire and #NAHEMA Management. The contract, signed at very last end of 2024, supports the “General Purpose Automatic Test Equipment” (GPATE), enabling end-users to carry out diagnostic and repair tasks locally on avionic components, fostering greater independence and more efficient maintenance. This contract further solidifies our shared commitment with #NAHEMA to enhance #NH90 operational efficiency and expand local capabilities. The support contract will leverage Leonardo’s advanced solutions in the avionics field, with #Leonardo being responsible for contract execution. We are committed to helping Nations achieve their operational targets and ensuring long-term success! #NH90 # NAHEMA - NATO HELICOPTER MANAGEMENT AGENCY #Leonardo

  • A series of significant upgrades for Royal Navy Commando Merlin helicopters have achieved full operating capability (FOC), allowing the aircraft to support 3 Commando Brigade anywhere in the world. Through the Merlin Life Sustainment Programme (MLSP), Leonardo has been working with Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and UK Ministry of Defence to fully transition the AW101 MK3/Mk3a Commando Merlin helicopters to a ship-optimised in-service capability platform designated Mk4/Mk4a Commando Merlin. Clive Scott, SVP UK Business, Leonardo Helicopters UK, said: “Our workforce is proud to have delivered these upgrades for the Royal Navy Merlin fleet from our site in Yeovil, the Home of British Helicopters. “Decades of investment in the site have ensured that we have the highly specialised design skills onshore, meaning we can modify helicopters to UK specifications and help preserve our nation’s Freedom of Action and Operational Independence. “The AW101 sets the standard for maritime operations and, as well as being one of the UK Armed Forces’ core helicopters, has been acquired by allies including Japan, Italy and Poland.” http://lnrdo.co/3EftJBY #HomeOfBritishHelicopters #AW101
