What a fantastic day with the USGBC Iowa community! We had the opportunity to tour two buildings, including the Des Moines Animal Control (LEED Gold) and Greenhouse (anticipated LEED Gold), showcasing the City of Des Moines' commitment to sustainability and green building practices. We also received exciting updates on the upcoming launch of LEED v5, with new features focused on carbon, equity, and resilience. And to top it off, we celebrated 10 newly certified LEED projects in 2024, each making strides toward a greener future! Willdan assisted 5 of these eligible commercial projects through the Energy Design Assistance program. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for this event—here’s to driving sustainable progress across Iowa! Thanks to MA Architecture for hosting us. #LEED #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #USGBCIowa #LEEDv5 U.S. Green Building Council - U.S. Market Insights Martha Norbeck Peter Ernzen Mike Bahr Toby Davis Halle Nanninga Christine Reinders Jeremy Caron Molly Cutler Sheri Brezinka, LEED Green Associate
