People that come to me for support and with whom I have built a rich therapeutic relationship tend to be self-reflective and imaginative, and with a wish to connect with the world and others whilst finding themselves stuck on their way to reach this, at times since events long ago.

eunoia was developed out of a deep desire to recapture connection, beauty and meaning in the everyday. Many people (adults, adolescents and children alike), can appear to be trapped in unfulfillment; whether it's by circumstances, limited thinking or unmanageable emotions. Bridget has worked across the community and social services for over 25 years.

My passion is working with victim-survivors of child sexual abuse, however, I work with a wide range of people impacted by various traumas and adverse events. The people I work best with are those wanting to work on their challenges at a deeper level and develop a greater understanding of themselves. My favourite modality to employ is schema therapy, which integrates beautifully with many other therapeutic techniques. I have trained extensively in various evidence-based modalities so that I am able to tailor interventions to your unique needs.

Seeking counselling can feel overwhelming. Years of working with young people have taught me to slow down and respect what is in front of me. I offer services that comfort people and assist them to build their skills, even when they don't think they can. I work to assist people to feel less overwhelmed and better equipped to cope with life stressors.

I have been working working one on one with clients for the past six years as a psychologist and counsellor. This has included job seekers, university students and in private practice. I love to learn about what is important to each individual and enjoy working on anxiety, trauma, sleep, stress, communication, study techniques and mood related issues.

I was never destined to become a counsellor. Having grown up in the French countryside, where mental health is a thing that none talks about, I went on to live my adult life thinking that you just need to keep going, whatever comes your way. That was until 2017, when I severely burnt out after experiencing workplace bullying, then was the victim of a traffic accident that led me to develop chronic pain. I could not make sense of the emotional, mental and physical turmoil that I was thrown into. It was only thanks to my new passion for the mind, body and soul, and finding the right professional support, that I was able to heal.

Sometimes life can feel like a lot. You may be anxious, grieving, feeling vulnerable or a little lost. Counselling allows you the opportunity to be seen and heard and explore what's going on. Occasionally your past can impact your here and now, and the way you deal with situations. I believe that effective therapy comes from being flexible with the therapeutic modalities used, and meeting you where you are at. I value and foster the importance of a collaborative approach to therapy. I offer a safe space for you to explore your experiences and to develop skills and understanding, which you can take into your day to day life.
