Specializing in mental health allows me to provide excellent care for problems involving depression, sleep, anxiety, attention/concentration, mood disorders including bipolar and schizophrenia, trauma, addictions, behavioral issues and any emotional disturbances that may be experienced. I am conservative in my prescribing practices and prefer frequent follow ups.

I practice evidence-based care to ensure that you will have the most updated treatment options using an integrative, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to support you as a whole individual. I am a dual certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner. I earned my degrees from the University of Colorado, Anschutz. I have been an FNP for over 15 years working in an outpatient clinic treating common physical health issues with a focus on health promotion and wellness. One thing that has changed immensely since starting my work in family practice is the amount of mental health issues that comes through primary care and how closely our physical and mental health are truly aligned. This is what started my desire to learn more about mental illness, its relationship to physical health, and the medications and therapies.

We will work collaboratively to establish a comprehensive plan and discuss the role of medication and psychotherapy in your treatment. I appreciate that each client I have the privilege to work had had unique lived experiences and will work to create the most effective treatment plan based on each individuals’ goals. I am a physician who interned in California then moved to Denver to complete my training. First I trained in adult work, then later specialized further in children and adolescents. I have over 30 years of experience with children, adolescents, and adults, especially parents. I am Board Certified in both adult and kids.
