I am a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I received my Master of Science degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado and have worked in the Denver area specializing in internal medicine as a nurse practitioner.

We regard people as inherently healthy and whole, in contrast to the conventional and widespread belief that people with psychiatric symptoms must be in long-term treatment. Psychological health can truly be achieved by learning new techniques of managing stress and overcoming fear-based habits. We prescribe medications as temporary tools for softening intense symptoms, allowing the deeper healing can occur. Alternative treatments such as vitamins and supplements are encouraged when appropriate. When depression or PTSD does not respond to conventional treatments, we may recommend a course of ketamine assisted psychotherapy.

My passion is to provide care that is more than a ten-minute conversation, and the only answer is more medication that is not working. My care focuses on the client and their individual needs. My name is Leslie, i am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and received her Master's in Nursing from University of Cincinnati in 2005. I utilize medication, vitamins, nutrition, hormones, and gut-brain connections for treatment of mental health issues.
