I typically work with individuals who have previously explored therapy or medication management but seek a holistic approach that combines both. Furthermore, I delve deeper by recognizing that unconscious aspects often impede progress. Drawing from my expertise in altered mental states and psychedelic therapy, I guide clients toward self-understanding. I find that usually the type of person who likes to work with me wants to understand themselves a little better and doesn't want a band-aid solution.

I am here to provide guidance, expertise, and treatment approaches for stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, concentration problems, relationship difficulties, drug or alcohol use, or life/career transitions. No matter what their age, many of the clients who eventually find me have done everything they can on their own and/or with the help of loved ones to manage these issues and are just in need of a little more information, help and support. An ideal patient is one that is suffering, hurting, and wants help. While at first glance this may sound abrasive, the harsh truth is pain and suffering in some form is an inevitable part of life. While my intentions are altruistic, I would argue that they aren't in that by being of service to others is what provides fulfilment in what I do-fosters purpose in my life. To alleviate the pain of another, specifically that of mental illness-to watch them grow and heal brings joy like nothing else.

I see my role as helping people navigate a relationship with the world and themselves that is more joyful and less constrained. Many of my patients have tried a variety of self help strategies or previous therapy with varying degrees of success and disappointment by the time they call me. My approach is to take a step back and try to understand you and your life in more detail and depth in order to help us build a more comprehensive and lasting solution to your troubles.

I have an extensive background in a wide range of treatment settings, eg. in-patient, out-patient, schools, inner city and chronic care facilities. I look for a person's strengths and talents as well as their difficulties. Treatment should be a working partnership for the best outcome. My outlook is caring, compassionate and hopeful no matter what the issues. Each patient is unique with treatment specific to his or her needs. Hi, I'm Tiffany Peterson, a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I prescribe medication, test for nutrient deficiencies and recommend complementary supplements. I help adults who do not respond to medications, those who prefer to limit prescribed medications and adults who seek alternatives to prescribed medications.
