I started my professional career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Research & Development Scientist. However, I was driven to make a broader impact in the lives of others and returned to school for my healthcare degrees. My passion for mental health and nursing led me to specialize in psychiatric mental health care. I enjoy working closely with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds across the lifespan in various settings.

Helen Lancy is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s in Nursing from Spring Arbor University, pursuing a Doctor of Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Missouri. With four years of adult-gerontology psychiatry experience, she specializes in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma in adults 18+. Passionate about providing evidence-based, compassionate care, Helen is dedicated to serving patients from diverse backgrounds, particularly those in underserved communities. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations as well as evidenced and empirically-based medication management. I consider my approach to be psychopharmacologically conservative and minimalist. What this means is that I aim to minimize the use of medication, and recommend that my patients have a psychotherapist as well.
