Hi. My name is Joe LoCicero, and I am happy that you are looking into counseling. I believe that I can help you. I have over 30 years of counseling experience working with various populations. My specific treatment areas include treating depression, anxiety, behavior issues, and impulse and anger control problems. Since 2004, I have had my own agency that provides mental health and behavior analysis services for the state of Florida.

We live in a busy world filled with challenges. You have problems, yet have little time to waste. I understand and am here to help through a difficult time by tackling these issues head-on. I help my clients identify goals and the steps we may take to reach your desired outcomes. Discussing issues with sex and relationships can lead to a very vulnerable feeling. I strive to provide a comfortable and safe place to address your concerns. My straightforward, conversational approach to therapy helps my clients gain clarity, experience relief and break old patterns.

Ideally I work well with clients who desire a change of any kind in their life. Whether it be a personal change or changing external factors. I work well with individuals who are looking to grow and ready to invest in themselves and their own peace of mind. During clinical work I view myself through the metaphoric lens of a GPS guiding the driver of the car. I offer possible choices and directions to go but it is up to the driver to decide which direction is best for them. Different things work for different people and I am here to accommodate for those factors.

I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with all forms of addictions and compulsive behaviors including: sex, pornography, drugs, alcohol, food, work, spending, codependent relationships, etc. I use Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration to help people become free from underlying relational/attachment wounds.

I have 40 years experience in mental health. I have a Masters and Specialist Degree in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide therapy for children from ages 3-10 years old. I use Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
