I have been most fortunate to have had the opportunity to provide mental health and substance abuse treatment for many years in a variety of settings. I am passionate and dedicated to helping individuals and families identify and achieve their personal goals to live a happier and healthier life. Our practice has partnered with other trusted medical professionals in our community so that if a referral for additional services is necessary, we know that they will receive quality care.

My passion is facilitating growth and healing using your intersecting identities, both visible and invisible, as strengths. In addition to working with addictions and recovery, I am skilled in the areas of sexuality and relationship counseling including various expressions of consensual nonmonogamy, and BDSM/Kink. I am sex-positive & sex-work-positive. I have extensive experience with anxiety management, aging, career counseling, creativity coaching, mood disorders, divorce recovery, incarceration and reentry, and supporting those who practice alternative spiritualities.

Psychotherapy is my second career. As an attorney, I enjoyed working one-on-one with people, and I found myself drawn to my client's personal stories. After many years in law, I decided that a career as a therapist was my true passion. I employ a variety of approaches in my work including Dialetical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Amy Syen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia who has been practicing since 2008. She received her Master of Social Work with a Concentration in Mental Health degree from the University of Kentucky. Amy works to establish a strong therapeutic rapport with clients in order to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for people to feel comfortable starting their recovery process.
