I am passionate about helping people restore wholeheartedness to their lives. This includes the mental, relational, spiritual, and emotional areas. It is sometimes overwhelming to begin the healing process, so I want to provide a safe environment. I am trained in EMDR, certified in Multi Dimensional Partner Trauma through APSATS, and have completed over 100 hours of training in the Minwalla Model. I also have completed training in Early Recovery Couples Empathy Model.

I understand that the thought of going to therapy can generate massive feelings of anxiety, but really, therapy is a hopeful process, one of realizing your strengths and learning more advantageous approaches to the challenges life can bring. I specialize in therapy with adolescents and adults, couples, individuals, families and blended families.

I have experience with inpatient psychiatric clients, case management for federal inmates, and as a counselor in community-based outpatient clinics. My passion for counseling and educating others about the importance of mental health was born from my own experiences and those of my family.

My clients are largely adolescents and teenagers who have experienced trauma such as physical/ emotional/sexual abuse, neglect, and loss and who are involved in juvenile justice and/or the foster care systems. My clinical training includes trauma-focused, Autism, and behavioral issues; however, I have a great deal of training with all diagnoses. My clients' goals include increased ability to cope with life-stressors, problem solving, and anger management.

I am currently not taking any new clients. As a counselor I whole-heartedly believe as a human we have the power to heal and grow in even the most adverse circumstances and situation. I practice from a client-centered trauma informed viewpoint that allows oneself to recognize their strengths to empower them to change and believe in their ability to change. I am committed to providing quality behavioral health care to individuals, couples or families wanting to make changes. I consider it a privilege to work with patients to find clarity and renewed strength to face their life circumstances.

Using a person-centered approach, I work with adults and children ages seven and up for individual counseling. I have a passion for working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, to provide a space for these individuals to process through the specific challenges they may be facing.
