I am a licensed master social worker. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. My speciality is in marriage/couples counseling. When compared to all other types of relationships marriage and otherwise romantic relationships are very unique. With this being the case it stands to reason that different rules apply. Sadly, many people either don't know, or don't fully understand these rules that build and foster romantic intimacy and cohesion.

I am a client centered clinician practicing in Washington State, Idaho and Hawaii. I utilize numerous approaches while incorporating my clients strengths to assist them with improving their quality of life. I am able to navigate numerous systems ( familial, employment, spiritual, social and community) to support my clients in their process for well-being and growth.

I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and improving their lives through self determined goals. I'm here to listen and provide a non-judgmental environment for you to grow and heal. As someone who loves working with children and adolescents, I've had many clients who have been apprehensive or nervous to begin this journey. I feel I have a gift for these particular clients and work hard to create a safe environment.

I believe it’s important to find the right therapist to assist you in your journey. This process can be arduous and can deter people from pursuing counseling. A key part of my clinical practice is to build rapport with my clients to assist them with feeling comfortable sharing difficult topics and issues. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most influential factors in assisting individuals to be successful in therapy and reach their goals.

When we experience trauma, life stressors, or times of crisis it is common to find ourselves struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. Often, we hold deep beliefs about ourselves or others that do not serve us. These beliefs may hold us back from our best life. I work to facilitate healing in those who are struggling to find peace with themselves and in their relationships. I believe our relationships affect our lives in nearly every aspect. Healthy relationships are born from healthy individuals. Therefore, I enjoy working with both individuals and couples in the quest for optimum mental and emotional health.

To imagine my ideal client is hard because I expect everyone to have their own individual journey. I came into this work because I want to help people thrive in life. I have extensive experience working with individuals families and couples impacted by trauma, co-dependency, addiction and co-occurring disorders. Having worked in residential drug and alcohol treatment for over 10 years I bring those years of resources and compassionate experience to my work. My focus on family systems and attachment allow me to treat the entire family, offering the best possible outcomes. I am a Certified Trauma Specialist, a Gottman trained couples therapist and I am one of the few therapists working with Internet and Gaming Addiction.

I offer an expressive form of psychotherapy to support individuals in connecting with their authentic selves. I received my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University, specializing in Dance/Movement Therapy. My love for movement and interest in how we attune and regulate through our connections led me to dance/movement therapy, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and emotions. Since 2009, I have been teaching meditation, movement, and mindfulness practices to both adults and children in various settings, including schools.
