I have extensive training and experience working with children, teens and young adults ages 8 through mid-twenties who struggle emotionally, behaviorally, and socially. I have firsthand experience working with kids in an educational setting as a School Counselor which has helped me better understand the challenges kids face today while at school. We will explore, identify and set goals to create an environment that fosters active participation in the counseling process through exploration of feelings, personal history, attitudes, beliefs, developmental needs, communication, self-expression, emotional regulation, and awareness.

I assist clients in gaining coping skills, increasing their self-awareness, and experiencing positive growth and change. As a counselor Jeff enjoys working with pre-teens, teens and adults doing both individual and couples counseling. Jeff also specializes in working with men's issues including sexual integrity/addictions. Realizing the courage that it takes to first come into counseling, he strives to create a comfortable and caring experience for his clients. Using an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Jeff journeys alongside his clients empowering them to live out the life they desire to live and serving as a compassionate guide along the way.

In my practice, I work with adolescents, children and adults. My specialties include: relationship problems, adolescent development, health psychology, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, learning disabilities and attentional problems. Infertility counseling is also a special interest of mine, including third party reproduction issues (donor and surrogacy). My therapeutic approach varies depending on the issues with which you are struggling and who you are as a person. I don't have one approach that fits all clients but tailor my work to the individual. In general, I help clients identify and enhance their current psychological strengths in order to address their problems.
