My journey into Chinese medicine grew out of a longstanding fascination with the relationship between psychology and physiology, along with a love for ancient ways of looking at human nature. In my practice, I work with a broad scope of health imbalances, with special attention on digestion, emotion, and women’s health.

I am excited to provide you with a safe space where your mental health care needs can be met. I embrace my clients where they are at, as a whole person while incorporating holistic elements within my therapeutic practice. I have experience working with C-PTSD, Sexual assault survivors, depression, anxiety, identity struggles, postpartum mood disorders and more. I love to empower my clients through their individual journeys. I have a passion for working with mothers/birthing people as well as complex trauma and LGBTQ+ individuals.

At Odyssey Counseling we focus on meeting people wherever they're at. Everyone falls down from time to time. For us counseling is a collaboration. We work with you to pinpoint problems and help explore ways to help you get to where you want to be. We have numerous programs including services for first responders and their families, and an IOP Substance Abuse/Trauma Program for women . We provide health and wellness programs to workplaces and offer an Employee Assistance Program.

Trying to understand individual behavior within the context of the family. My approach to therapy is to help process thoughts and feelings in an environment that is safe and non-judgmental.

It is my commitment to help my clients find solutions and healing from problems arising from life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma and addictive behaviors. I have many years of experience in inpatient settings and private practice.

I have worked with children and families for over twenty years. My primary focus has been on trauma, connection and attachment. I received my Registered Play Therapist Supervisor about two years ago and have focused in addition on infant mental health.

Life is a full of seasons; seasons of struggle and challenges, seasons of processing, and seasons of healing. I am a support system you can use to help navigate your season. Many clients I work with have experienced significant trauma. They seek counseling because they battle with the anxiety, depression, addiction, or PTSD that so commonly follows those events. I am very passionate about supporting my clients in establishing genuine identity and relationship stability. The counseling process can help you develop the emotional and cognitive “muscles” you need to experience freedom and confidence in YOUR world.

I commonly see people with concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and grief. In session, we will look at what you are hoping to get from the counseling experience and collaboratively discover what will work for your situation, which may involve getting unstuck from emotional and/or behavioral issues. My orientation includes considering our relationships to life. We will take into account relational factors, which may include environments, people, culture, expectations and roles. The therapy process may assist you in gaining a deeper understanding of your values and skills, toward transformative change.

I focus on improving your quality of life, while deepening your Inner Awareness in a grounded way.

Lori (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in sexual health and wellness. Lori’s compassionate approach helps identify strengths and areas for growth, encouraging straightforward steps toward lasting change. She is pursuing certification in sex therapy and provides a safe space for clients to explore their identity and sexuality challenges. Her unique perspective is informed by being a gay woman in a same-sex marriage.

As a therapist my goal is to create the space for clients to feel safe and comfortable to begin their journey in healing. I believe the client is the driver and I am the one in the passenger seat pointing out the scenery and occasionally giving some direction. I support my clients from all walks of life with a non-judgmental attitude, full of support and kindness, with a little humor and some “realness” thrown in there I often utilize CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) as a basis in our work, with my foundation and belief being client centered and knowing you are the expert in your life.
