Through my 20 years in behavioral health I've found my passion helping those that need a little "turning around". My skill set has been developed working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages within the school, inpatient, and outpatient settings. My door has always been open to any individual seeking comfort, reassurance, validation, and progress. I work with clients to identify troublesome issues, set goals, and create action plans.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist . My training is systems therapy. My style is Solution Focused. I do couples therapy and Family. I help people who have issues with depression, anxiety, and fertility concerns . I an an approved supervisor and do business consulting.

I offer a direct, active, goal-oriented approach in helping you find relief from the anxiety, anger, depression, shame, or whatever it is that leaves you feeling stuck. By taking a look at 1) What are you trying to achieve? 2) What are you trying to preserve? 3) What are you trying to avoid? and 4) What are you trying to eliminate? we can highlight the sometimes-complex interaction among your thoughts, decisions, actions and outcomes. Knowing yourself, making use of your personal strengths & your tools at hand while allowing your values guide you, you can propel yourself toward becoming the best, most fulfilled version of yourself.

I have over 35 years of experience in the combined fields of counseling and behavioral health. I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults struggling with self-identity, sexual and gender identity, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I provide a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment in which clients can process these struggles and find healing through a way that fits them best. Healing looks different for everyone depending on what their goals and aspirations are in life. My goal is to help each client create a life they love and is worth living.

As a therapist my goal is to support my clients as they grow in confidence and strength. As a therapist and a client myself, I believe therapy can help us grow deeper in understanding ourselves, as well as believing in our own capabilities. In sessions, I utilize the skills that fit each client, as well as my dark sense of humor and non-judgmental stance. I have found particular enjoyment working with ADHD, teens, parents, people struggling with boundaries, those in the LGBTQ community, and anxiety. Many providers have a set modality for treatment; I enjoy working with clients to understand their personalities and needs.

The best way I can describe myself is to use music. I believe music really IS the soundtrack to our lives but it can also express things we may not have the words ourselves. It speaks to our mood and what is happening in our lives or the world for that matter. I feel I am a nice mix of every genre; I find a commonality within me with each genre of music, much like people. I feel I can find our common ground and we will work well together. Just some of the tools you can expect from me will be active listening, role playing, and using the tools you already bring to the session which we will identify.

I feel a "calling" to help adults and teens through counseling! I offer clients deep compassion, unconditional acceptance, and understanding. Often we believe the worst about ourselves! We lose sight of our own value, our own beauty, and self worth. We become depressed or constantly anxious, feel lost, maybe even broken on the inside. But, counseling can change that! I provide a safe environment that is consistently supportive, empathetic, and empowering! I will help you see yourself anew, grieve your losses, face your fears, and help you locate your deep self and reconnect to your life's purpose. A natural joy will follow!
