Children have a outdated stereotype of being so resilient they can 'bounce back' from anything. This isn't always true. Children display reactions to traumatic experiences differently from adults that may not make sense to adults, may appear as "just annoying or whiny" or "a phase". When children don't have language to express themselves verbally, it will come out behaviorally! So maybe those behaviors mean bigger things when we look at what the child has experienced as a whole.

Mental health impacts each of us differently, making things even more important to not compare or judge how each of us feel and respond to life’s stressors. One of the most rewarding components of my job is truly meeting each client in their defined “time of need”. During your therapy journey, we spend time exploring your emotions, thoughts and behaviors, increasing your self-awareness and “tweaking” the tools to utilize in managing your emotions healthier.

My therapeutic approach views each person as an individual with unique strengths and challenges, and emphasizes the value of building a therapeutic relationship with the individual. When working with a child, I also want to build a relationship with the caregiver. Developing the client and family's strengths will be the foundation to support the change. I believe that the greatest results are achieved using evidence based treatment modalities; these approaches focus on assisting the individual to change negative thoughts & behaviors & focus more on their internal strengths & resourcefulness.

I strive to be available for clients that are looking for acceptance, care and therapeutic insight. My goal is to walk with individuals that desire to know more about themselves and can ultimately become their own therapist, to know themselves fully and completely, as anyone can. As any human, you may struggle with interpersonal relationships and/or the inner workings of self. We all have a journey to experience and a story to tell about it. I am here to help navigate the journey, identify the adventure, and tell the story.

I have a passion for helping people find greater meaning in and peace in their lives. I take a collaborative, practical approach as I help you pinpoint and name your mental health goals. A part of this is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you are able to speak freely and honestly about the struggles in your life. Together, we work to find ways that get you feeling happier, healthier, and better grounded as a person.

Everyone has emotional challenges. Solutions to these challenges are available to everyone. No one needs to suffer alone and helping people cope with their experiences is something I am passionate about. The nonjudgmental therapeutic environment I strive to create is one of acceptance, compassion, and partnership.

A light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. Many experience a crisis of faith in troubling times. Perhaps you're facing grief, trauma, life changes, illness, or other difficulties. Maybe you're having trouble figuring out why these things are happening to you and it just doesn't seem fair. The truth is, we can't prepare for everything and sometimes we need a little help. In our first session I really want to understand your needs and how I can be most helpful. My goal is make sure you feel heard and know that there is in fact a light in the darkness and I'm here to help you find it.

I am now accepting new clients. My goal is to help people feel better and find the best version of themselves. Life is not easy and unfortunately, most of us have been afflicted in some way. Often, this affliction is a blindside; we don't see it coming. Life challenges is all encompassing, it maybe related to neglect/abuse, domestic/violent relationships, major life losses, grief, discrimination, abandonment, drug/alcohol use etc. this list is endless; which is sad. It's disheartening to think of all hurtful/harmful things that are reality in today's world. I want you to know that you don't have to figure everything out alone.
