Elizabeth McNamara, APA Group’s Executive Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, has been appointed to the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA) Board. Her appointment follows Kevin Lester’s impressive 16-year tenure, during which he has contributed immeasurably to the development of the gas and pipeline industry. Liz steps into her new role as a key advocate for gas in the energy transition, reinforcing APA’s long-standing relationship with APGA. "We are seeing an increased recognition of the critical role gas plays in the energy transition, thanks in no small part to the advocacy efforts of organisations like APGA," said Liz.

✨ We’re excited to share that APA Group has been honoured with the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA) Inclusion and Diversity Award this year! This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to building a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. While we've made great strides with initiatives like 18 weeks of parental leave and flexible working arrangements, we know there’s more to do to build a truly inclusive environment for all.

APA Group CEO and Managing Director Adam Watson said: “This decision, if confirmed, creates confidence to make the necessary investment in our East Coast Gas Grid to support energy security for our customers and consumers. It will also help facilitate our nation’s ambition to deliver a reliable, affordable and lower emissions energy system.” Read full ASX release → https://lnkd.in/gKGuAe_G
