💧The High Road to Hydrogen💧 ☀️ The breakthrough solar reactor technology developed by Centre for Energy Technology (CET) Acting Director, Professor Greg Metha, produces hydrogen through the use of concentrated sunlight, water, and a photocatalyst in a solar reactor (known as photocatalytic water splitting), is highlighted in a new article from The Chronicle of Higher Education. 📑 Click below to read "The High Road to Hydrogen" and watch the video to learn more about Professor Metha's work with Sparc Hydrogen, where he is pioneering an entirely new approach to green hydrogen technology. https://lnkd.in/gVCRq7tE #ISER #hydrogen #greenhydrogen

I was honoured to attend and present my work at HiTeMP Forum (Hi-TeMP 4): High Temperature Minerals Processing, held at the National Wine Center, 21-23 October. This forum was organized by the University of Adelaide's Centre for Energy Technology and the Institute for Sustainability, Energy and Resources (ISER). I got a free registration for this event as a reward for my #Overall_Best_Poster_Award received on CET research day 2023 last December. https://lnkd.in/gR7rmcg9 https://lnkd.in/g6qtMuVG I presented my work on photocatalytic valorisation of waste intermediates/low-value chemicals into green H2 and valuable chemicals. Fortunately, I received a #poster_award - #Honourable_Mention_for_Research_Excellence in this event. Finally, it was a great chance to meet with many industry representatives, academics, and peers.

The Australian's Green List of Australia’s Top 100 energy players has recognised two #decarbonisation leaders who play key roles in HILT CRC. The list includes Prof Gus Nathan - HILT CRC Research Director and Founding Director of the University of Adelaide's Centre for Energy Technology, and The Australian National University's Prof Frank Jotzo, who leads HILT's project on 'Market, cost and locational factors for green iron and steel in Australia'. Their respective entries note that: 🔧"If achieving carbon neutrality requires innovative technologies, Professor Graham 'Gus' Nathan may just be the one to develop them." 🔧"Professor Frank Jotzo’s research on decarbonisation strategies and climate change economics has helped set the policy agenda for national and state governments, as well as international organisations from the World Bank to Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance."
