We were thrilled to host RMIT STEM College students recently for the first RMITJQ Careers Day! In honour of International Women's Day, we had the pleasure of hosting 20 talented female aviation students for an inspiring and immersive event. From a tour of the Jetstar Operations Centre to valuable networking opportunities with our Female Pilot Council, and a close-up look at our aircraft in our Melbourne Engineering Precinct, it was a day filled with energy, learning and excitement. This morning, I had the privilege of flying from Sydney to Adelaide on a flight entirely planned, dispatched, and operated by women. This was one of 17 all-female-operated Jetstar flights today - and one of 50 flights across the Qantas Group this week leading up to International Women’s Day. 
Visibility is powerful. Moments like these are not only important in showcasing the incredible women in aviation, but also inspiring the next generation of women to explore a career in aviation, especially in roles that have traditionally skewed more towards men.   We’re focused on creating more opportunities for women in the industry through our strong partnerships with schools and universities, and championing and supporting women throughout all stages of their career.   There’s always more to do and I’m incredibly proud to be part of the journey. 🧡✈️❤️

We’re a proud supporter of Melbourne’s Midsumma Festival and the LGBTQI+ community. 2025 is our ninth year of being the festival’s official airline partner. At the weekend, we teamed up with Melbourne Airport to create a fabulous rainbow runway at Carnival. Queenslanders can now catch a direct flight from Brisbane to Bangkok. Carrying more than 100,000 customers a year, our new three-per-week service will also support the Sunshine State's inbound tourism market. Our new service between Cairns and the Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) has officially taken off! The route launch marks the start of an exciting fortnight for Jetstar, with the airline set to launch four new routes as its massive network growth continues. Today we celebrated a major milestone in our new era of low fares travel. More than 6000 frontline team members across Australia, as well as airlines based in New Zealand, Singapore and Japan stepped out in a new uniform.
