🌊 Hungry Point Cliff Top Walk takes shape 🌊 We’re thrilled to be part of the transformation happening at Hungry Point Reserve in Cronulla, where a new cliff-top walk is being constructed to extend the much-loved esplanade. Once completed, this extension will offer locals and visitors access to some of the most breathtaking views along Sydney's coastline, providing an uninterrupted walk from South Cronulla to the southern tip of Hungry Point Reserve. Currently in its first stage of construction, JN’s civil engineering team provided stormwater management and traffic engineering solutions to support the design development of the works. These efforts ensure that the extension is both sustainable and accessible, while preserving the natural beauty of the area. Special thanks to team members Robert Mahony and Steph Dahan for their dedication and expertise in delivering this important project. This collaborative project with Sutherland Shire Council, Taylor Brammer Landscape Architects and Planning Ingenuity is making great strides. Once completed, the project will create an enhanced public recreational space, further strengthening Cronulla’s appeal as a coastal destination. #EngineeringExcellence #CoastalDevelopment #CronullaEsplanade #HungryPointReserve #CommunityEnhancement #SustainableDesign #JNEngineering #CivilEngineering #CronullaCommunity Images courtesy of Sutherland Shire Council

Celebrating a Partnership of Purpose at the BaptistCare Halo Ball 2024 The BaptistCare Halo Ball has become a valued tradition for the JN team, reminding us of the many ways different sectors can support people in need. This year’s event brought together a community with a shared commitment, highlighted by speeches and performances that resonate deeply with BaptistCare’s mission of care and support. The funds raised at this year’s Halo Ball will directly support BaptistCare’s Living Beyond Abuse (https://lnkd.in/eMU9w-C9) and Brave Me programs which provide long-term support, counselling and empowerment for women and children as they rebuild their lives in escaping domestic violence. We’re proud to support an initiative that offers life-changing assistance to those in their greatest time of need. As engineers, our partnership with BaptistCare extends beyond the ball. We’ve contributed to a range of significant projects including the recently completed Caloola Aged Care Facility in Wagga Wagga (https://lnkd.in/gn87UkVF) and Angus Bristow Village Independent Living Units in Elderslie, which is nearing completion. We also recently submitted a State Significant Development Application for a major new project in Carlingford combining aged care facilities with independent living units and are contributing to the masterplan for the redevelopment of a Macquarie Park property. JN has worked on over 15 projects in partnership with BaptistCare, and it’s a privilege to support their mission and know that our relationship goes beyond constructing buildings. #BaptistCare #HaloBall2024 #LivingBeyondAbuse #BraveMe #CommunitySupport #AgedCare #DomesticViolenceSupport #IndependentLiving #EngineeringForImpact #JNEngineering

🛹 Ramping Up at Belconnen Skatepark 🛹 We’re excited to share one of our more unconventional projects – the structural design of a new vert ramp and stairs at Belconnen Skatepark, ACT, a popular destination for skateboarders in the region. For this community-focused project, JN provided the modelling and design of the steel ramp, applying our engineering expertise to create a durable and safe structure. Members of our structural engineering team, Ryan Fairley and Sam Hunter, ensured the ramp could be fabricated off-site and then safely assembled on-site, like a precision-engineered puzzle. This approach helped streamline the process, minimising disruptions and allowing for quick assembly. Collaborating with Revolution Action Sports Concepts, we also handled safety considerations, designing solutions for fall arrest systems to protect workers during installation. We’re proud to have contributed to this exciting addition to Belconnen Skatepark and to have supported the skateboarding community. #BelconnenSkatepark #StructuralEngineering #VertRamp #CommunityProject #JNEngineering #SkateOn
