2025 is here, and we’re ready to make our biggest impact yet – with $300 million committed to supporting the incredible partners helping us create lasting change. Last year we focused on embedding our new 2030 Strategy, which embraces a partner-led approach, empowering those closest to the challenges. Here in Western Australia, we proudly backed: ✅ Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation, equipping young people with skills for life ✅ WAAPA, with a record $30M partnership to support future performing artists and students ✅ St Pat’s, contributing $4M towards a new health centre and social housing to help those in need We also advocated for children and families across Australia, through our Thrive by Five campaign, which secured major policy and funding shifts in early childhood education and care. Our priority is Australia, but we know challenges don’t stop at borders. That’s why we also partnered with organisations that understood on-the-ground realities to provide humanitarian aid to vulnerable communities in Ukraine and the Middle East. This week at #Davos Dr. Andrew Forrest joined global leaders to address two of the world’s most pressing crises: the ongoing war in Ukraine and the humanitarian emergency in Gaza. In Ukraine families continue to endure the devastating impact of war nearly three years on. At the CEOs for Ukraine forum, Andrew met with President Zelenskyy and reiterated Minderoo’s support. In Gaza the ceasefire agreement is a small but crucial step toward recovery. Andrew reaffirmed our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities as the situation evolves. Humanitarian aid may be stretched, but it is essential. Now is the time for businesses and governments to step up and take action.

Real Zero isn’t just about emissions - it’s about protecting lives and communities. Every year, more than 50,000 Pacific Islanders are displaced due to the devastating impacts of climate change. This displacement fuels resource scarcity, social tension and vulnerability to exploitation. Meanwhile, conflict diverts resources from vital climate action and increases reliance on fossil fuels, delaying the transition to clean energy. At #Davos this week, Dr. Andrew Forrest is meeting with global leaders to stress the importance of Real Zero - ending reliance on fossil fuels and offsets that hinder real progress. Achieving Real Zero is essential for reducing displacement, preventing conflict and accelerating action on climate change. It’s time for bold leadership to protect both people and our environment. #wef25 #realzero #climate

Forced labour isn’t hidden, it’s overlooked. At #Davos, we joined global leaders for the launch of the Global Data Partnership Against Forced Labour. Data is critical in the fight against modern slavery. That’s why Walk Free created the Global Slavery Index, revealing 50 million people in modern slavery, including 28 million in forced labour. But while we have global metrics for carbon emissions, we lack consistent, transparent data on human rights. A handful of good actors share data and take action, yet others still profit from abuse. We need mandatory human rights due diligence laws to drive accountability and even the playing field. Taking action on modern slavery should not be voluntary. It’s time for business and government to unite and end it. #WEF25

Artificial intelligence is one of humanity’s greatest inventions; but also one of its greatest threats. That’s why we have been working hard to ensure safeguards are in place that allow future generations the opportunity to flourish. We’ve been supporting the US-China Track II Dialogue on AI and National Security since 2019. This groundbreaking initiative recently achieved a major milestone: a joint principle from Presidents Biden and Xi to ensure human beings - not algorithms - will make decisions over the use of nuclear weapons. By fostering collaboration between global leaders, Minderoo is helping shape a future where AI serves humanity safely and responsibly. Our purpose, captured in a moment.📽️ Marine biodiversity is declining faster than ever, but environmental DNA (eDNA) is changing the game. From just a drop of seawater, we can identify countless species, map their movements, and assess the health of ecosystems - all to protect life below the surface. This pod of dolphins is a beautiful reminder of what we stand to lose and why we must act now. The more we uncover with eDNA, the better chance we have to protect our oceans. An Australian summer isn’t just about sunny days and beaches - it’s also a time when the risk of natural disasters demand our attention. Today, we want to acknowledge the amazing work of our partners who are working hard to create an Australia of resilient communities, detecting fires early, using nature for solutions and harnessing the power of volunteers. We want to thank them for their ongoing leadership and incredible contribution to Australia. The Resilience Canopy – an extraordinary not-for-profit working with Aussie communities to identify opportunities to enhance their resilience and action it. NRM Regions Australia – a remarkable Australian organisation working across the whole continent with communities, land managers, farmers and government to regenerate and sustain our landscapes. Disaster Relief Australia – an organisation harnessing the mateship mindset of Australians, mobilising communities in volunteer-led disaster resilience activities, ensuring they are better equipped to face and recover from natural disasters.
