Rewriting the rules of our periods ruling us.

About us

Modibodi® began in late 2013, but it took almost two years of picking, prodding, prototyping, washing, wearing, testing and fine-tuning to develop. We consulted with up to 100 textile engineers and fibre companies (both in the USA and Australia). We conducted close to 1,000 scientific tests. And we worked with leading Australian lingerie designers and manufacturers to create our patented finished product. Modibodi® uses high quality, tech savvy fabrics (like Bamboo, Merino Perform Wool and Microfibre) and the latest in breathable, antimicrobial fibres with our patented Modifier Technology – a super slim (only 3mm) stain resistant lining for modern periods and leaks, and Modifier Air Technology – a moisture-wicking, odour-fighting lining for getting sweaty. About Founder & CEO Kristy Chong Kristy’s the CEO and creator of Modibodi™. She’s a mum on a mission, a fash-tech entrepreneur and a social advocate for women’s health issues and rights. With over 13 years in senior PR roles for organisations including McDonald’s Australia, sanofi-aventis and Edelman PR, Kristy’s worked with some of the biggest brands in the business. Fast forward to 2011, when the concept of launching her own business ignited. This ambition saw her design, develop and scientifically prove her patented Modifier Technology leak-proof undies and transform this into the Modibodi® collection: a reusable, sustainable range of singlets, sweat-proof undies and activewear created to liberate us. Kristy’s vision is to build a brand that makes the world better by empowering every bodi to make real, positive change. As part of this vision, Modibodi® actively supports causes and organisations close to our heart, such as Share the Dignity and Days for Girls. Modibodi® has also won (and been nominated for) numerous product and business awards including Telstra Business Women's Awards, Australian Womens Weekly Women in Business Awards, Ausmumpreneur, Aust Fin Review Aspire Awards.

Did you know that 45% of women and menstruators are afraid to swim on their period? It's a statistic that we are passionate about changing, and a purpose we have designed patented period swimwear for. Our latest campaign aims to draw attention to our Anti-Leak period swimwear in an attention grabbing way and inspire people to engage in their everyday activities, no matter the time of the month. Wearing only a Modibodi swimsuit, freediver and marine biologist Brinkley Davies put our leak-proof period swimwear to the ultimate test by swimming with 5-metre tiger sharks, whilst on her cycle. And while swimming with sharks isn't for everybody, our anti-leak protection is. Tried and tested. Proven and patented. And now, Brinkley-approved. All the confidence you need to dive in and do what you love in the water – and out. No matter what time of the month. No fear. Explore our swim innovation at: https://lnkd.in/gYCMFqUk

We’re still buzzing from yesterday's magic! ✨ We gathered with over 40 phenomenal women in our community at our 'Move With Your Cycle' event in collaboration with the team at JSHealth Vitamins. We celebrated the incredible strength and resilience of our bodies with a reformer pilates class, followed by meditative breathwork and finished off with some well-deserved post-workout nourishment. Each guest left with the JSHealth Happy Hormones Cookbook as a gift to honour the beauty of womanhood through every stage – a holistic handbook to care for healthy hormones, packed with 15 recipes and lifestyle tips to support each stage of the cycle. As well as a goodie bag featuring the latest Puma x Modibodi period underwear to help everyone feel comfortable and confident exercising on their period. An enormous thank you to our friends at Bodylove Pilates for providing the perfect sanctuary 🤍

This International Women’s Day, and every day, we can help end period inequality. So this morning we headed down to Bondi Junction to hand out 250 pairs of period underwear to celebrate. Thanks to our customers and partners, we’ve been able to donate over 200,000 pairs of period pants to those who need them most, through our two social impact programs, Modibodi Period Collective and Give A Pair. To learn how you can help us provide reusable period underwear to those who need it most follow the link, because we all deserve to menstruate safely. https://lnkd.in/gs3rwu_J

We launched the Modibodi Period Collective in partnership with iEqualChange (i=Change) to give women and girls who may have no other option access to reusable period underwear. The program aims to impact the approximately 6 million women and girls in Australia, who find it difficult to access and afford period products when they need them.*   Businesses and retailers can join the Modibodi Period Collective by adding the program to the cart on your website or via a monthly contribution using the i=Change platform. https://lnkd.in/gpc3awud On Wednesday 6th March, we'll also be joining iEqualChange (i=Change) and a panel of speakers exploring how business can be the change for good for women and girls, you can join the International Women’s Day Masterclass here. https://lnkd.in/dXn9a-gp
