“A lot of communities that are drawn to hip hop don't see themselves included or represented in mainstream society. But through music and HipHop, you can share your story and talk. And I think that's one of the things that kind of drives Pacific peoples to that. As well as our history of the oratory tradition, we've shared our stories by talanoa and speaking. It’s just like HipHop.” Thelma 'Trey' Thomas shares her thoughts on HipHop as a means of storytelling and cultural nourishment with Adele Luamanuvae from The Music. Trey is one of the curators of Powerhouse Lane at Parramatta Lanes, a 4-day street festival kicking off tonight at 5pm.

One of the highlights of this year’s Sydney Design Week was the last keynote in the program – a conversation held between Moroccan-British artist Hassan Hajjaj and Jane Duru, associate creative director at R/GA Australia. The two sat down at Parramatta Town Hall to talk about Hassan's photography practice and the exciting blurred boundaries shaping design today. Thank you Gina Fairley and ArtsHub for covering the conversation.
