  • We are pleased to announce our underground mining business, Barminco, has signed a contract to undertake underground development and ground support for Barrick-operated Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) at the Goldrush Project in Nevada, USA. Nevada is the leading U.S. state in gold production and NGM is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont Corporation (38.5%) who combined their significant assets across Nevada in 2019. In total, the NGM JV represents the largest gold-producing complex in the world and contains 10 underground mines and 12 surface mines. Mark Norwell, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Perenti said “Securing the Goldrush underground project is an excellent achievement by our Barminco North America team. The Nevada Gold Mines JV is a leading gold mining complex, operating in areas with mining history since the mid-1800s. Fellow Perenti business, Swick has operated in the USA since 2009 and shared valuable experience with Barminco, demonstrating the combined strength of our group. Consequently, we are very pleased to be awarded this project and continue our strategic expansion into the North American market.” Gabrielle Iwanow, President of Contract Mining at Perenti said “The North American market is the largest hard rock, underground mining market in the world and this is Barminco’s first project in the USA. This win represents a milestone achievement for Barminco and our Contract Mining team as we execute our growth strategy. With an expanded operational footprint in North America, Barminco looks forward to continuing safe and productive operations for our clients in both the USA and Canada.” Read this ASX announcement and more at https://lnkd.in/gAsgpxy7 #mining #markets #investing

Our Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary, Justine Passaportis, featured in today's The Australian Financial Review, highlighting the mining industry's growing commitment to paid parental leave. Perenti’s parental leave policy is something our Managing Director & CEO Mark Norwell is incredibly proud of. “It positions us as leaders among mining contractors in Australia and sends a clear message to our people that we value and support them during one of life’s most important times,” Mark says. “The positive feedback we’ve received from our team reaffirms that this approach is making a real difference with more than 98% of our employees returning to work after taking parental leave.” “We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our policies to ensure they meet the needs of our people, strengthening our commitment to supporting all employees in balancing work and family life.” “The policy, which applies to our Australian workforce, also supports our goal of inclusion and increasing female participation across our businesses. It is just one way in which we are building a more inclusive and diverse workplace.”    #mining #employeeengagement #parentalleave https://lnkd.in/grUDDqHa

Last weekend, we came together to celebrate what truly makes Perenti special—our incredible people and their families. Through the Perenti Kids' Christmas Party we say heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports us and brings joy to our lives beyond work hours. We welcomed colleagues and their loved ones from across the business. The event was enjoyed by all those who attended with rides, music, and the delicious aromas of food trucks, ice cream vans, and cotton candy shops — non-stop treats for all! Highlights of the day included fair rides, water slides, Santa's Workshop and live music, keeping young and old entertained for the duration of the event. As the year comes to an end, we extend our thanks to all our people for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. We also express our thanks and appreciation to the families of our employees for their support and understanding during the year. Have a safe and happy holiday season. #thankyou #employeeengagement

At Perenti, our commitment to delivering operational excellence for our clients remains at the forefront. As part of this commitment, our Technical Performance team provides in-depth governance audits designed to support compliance and best practice for our partners across the mining industry globally. Our team conducted a Traffic Management Audit for IGO’s Nova mine, addressing new requirements under the Western Australian Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. Conrad Russo, IGO Superintendent, Work Health & Safety at Nova Nickel Operations, shared his experience: “With the changes to the Western Australian Mining Legislation, IGO wanted an independent review to evaluate whether there were any gaps in our Principal Mining Hazard for ‘Roads or other areas where mobile plant operate’. Perenti Technical Performance were immediately aligned on the potential exposure and leveraged their technical expertise to promptly deliver a robust Traffic Management Audit." Thank you to the IGO Ltd team for the opportunity to support your journey toward compliant operations. Our goal is to provide the insights needed to identify and mitigate risk while driving sustainable success across all of our projects. #mining #operations #audit

We are pleased that international credit rating agency S&P Global has upgraded Perenti’s credit rating from ‘BB (positive)’ to ‘BB+ (stable)’. This upgrade comes after a similar upgrade from Moody’s announced on 2 October 2024. Perenti is now rated only one level below investment grade by S&P, Moody’s and Fitch. According to S&P press release, the outlook reflects "expectation that Perenti will continue to expand its contract book, while renewal rates will remain strong. Accordingly, we believe the company will sustain its solid operating performance while maintaining low leverage and prudent financial policies.” Michael Ellis, Chief Financial Officer of Perenti said “Receiving a second credit rating upgrade within the same month is further evidence of the increased scale, diversification and quality of Perenti’s earnings profile. The upgrade is directly related to the ongoing delivery of our 2025 Strategy.” #mining #investing
