Honouring Aussie Heroes! Today, we celebrate Catherine Rivett, one of the many extraordinary parents tirelessly advocating for better health care access for children in regional Queensland! Catherine and her daughter Charlotte, who unexpectedly lost all hearing at two years old, took a courageous step by speaking at Hear and Say’s ‘Power of Speech’ event last year. Together, they addressed parliament, highlighting the urgent need for improved health care access for regional Queensland communities. Catherine, thank you for being a beacon of hope — not only for children with hearing loss but for all regional kids in need of essential health care.
