Riddwood Consulting Engineers have been selected to provide Temporary Works Design and Construction Engineering services on the first stage of the Eastern Freeway Upgrades from Burke Road to Tram Road. The first major upgrade of the Eastern Freeway since the 1990s, the project will reduce travel time, take trucks off local roads and create better connections for the community to access local shops, public transport, schools and open spaces. With major works underway, we’re thrilled to be stepping in to work alongside Major Road Projects Victoria and the Alliance made up of Laing O'Rourke Australia Construction, Symal Group, WSP in Australia and Arcadis Australia Pacific. Dennis has worked tirelessly on many of the Major Infrastructure Projects around NSW, enhancing his understanding of the requirements of road and bridge upgrade projects on major roads and highways. Congratulations to Bernhard Prueller on his second year working with Riddwood. Last week, I visited Lake Brewster, NSW, as part of my work with Riddwood Consulting Engineers. We’re working on a rectification design to repair flood damage. Despite the 7-hour drive from Sydney, Lake Brewster’s rural charm and stunning views of the Australian countryside, full of wildlife, made the trip worthwhile. The site visit was very productive from an engineering perspective, and I’m excited to contribute to this important project for NSW.
