Very excited see another one of our multi level warehouse projects getting approved. Well done to all involved.
This warehouse for Winning Group is the second to be completed by SBA at the Mirvac Aspect Industrial Estate in Kemps Creek. We have been involved from early planning of the estate, through to concept design and construction delivery, highlighting our expertise in master planning, architecture and interior design. Informed by nature, the execution of the building is focused on clean lines and the materiality of each element in providing a high-end industrial experience.
We were pleased to welcome Winning Group, a fourth generation Australian business to their largest ever distribution centre recently, the size of nine football fields, and already underpinning growth for their business. We were joined by New South Wales Premier, Chris Minns; Harry Boileau, Winning Group; the Winnings family and our industrial partner, Australian Retirement Trust to officially open the facility - the second warehouse at our Aspect Industrial Estate in Kemps Creek in Western Sydney. Targeting a 6 Star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia, the 66,610 square metre distribution centre is also targeting net positive certification for embodied carbon. Congratulations to the Winning Group team and the Aspect Industrial Estate team on bringing this world-leading facility to fruition.
A great way to round out the week with another fantastic site gaining approval this week.
Bennett + Bennett successfully obtained approval for JCP Construction and Development for an Officeworks, storage facility and shop at the Big Fish Centre in Caboolture. The application was made under the preliminary approval for the centre and historic Caboolture ShirePlan. Lots 42 and 43 have a combined site area of 1.23ha and are the last vacant sites in the centre. The proposal provides an additional pedestrian entrance to the site and landscape treatments to complete the frontage on Pumicestone Road. The exterior of the large floor plate buildings are architecturally designed with the end user in mind and have substantial articulation, materials and colour with complimentary landscaping to add visual interest in the context of the centre. Notwithstanding the aesthetics, the engineers achieved a combined sewer pump resolution for servicing and minimised building height through resourceful earthworks and drainage outcomes. This week, Urbis secured approval for a new warehouse and logistics facility for Stockland at the #YennoraIntermodalPrecinct 🚂 The Yennora Intermodal Precinct supports over 300,000sqm of warehouse facilities and almost 70,000sqm of container hardstand. Importantly, it contains an intermodal facility and forms an integral connection in the NSW freight and logistics network, with direct connections to Port Botany and the potential long-term connection into the Western Sydney International Airport through the Western Sydney Freight Line. This approval marks the beginning of the precinct’s transformation, and we look forward to seeing its evolution as a major logistics intermodal hub.
