Star Scientific’s sustainability journey commences At Star Scientific Ltd, our commitment to sustainability is integral to our mission, driving us to continuously improve, innovate, and lead by example in all aspects of our operations. We have just launched a new resource on our website, the Sustainability Hub, where we will provide information regarding our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts. As part of our launch, we are proud to present our inaugural Sustainability Report, showcasing the ongoing commitment and progress we have made on our sustainability journey. Our Commitment to Excellence In advancing our sustainability efforts, we have chosen to adhere to the most rigorous standards available – the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). These standards are crafted to meet the stringent requirements of European Union regulations and are widely regarded as the global benchmark for sustainability practices. Why ESRS? Operating in a global market, Star Scientific recognises the importance of meeting the highest standards. Compliance with the ESRS, recognised as one of the most comprehensive frameworks, will ensure we meet current and future legal expectations. Another successful Parliamentary Friends of Hydrogen event at Parliament House, Canberra, Australia. It was a great chance to talk to Parliamentarians, their staff and bureaucrats about #renewablehydrogen, the hydrogen supply chain, industrial heat and, of course, the role of HERO®. Also a chance to sit in some sexy H2 Vehicles! Thank you to the Australian Hydrogen Council for organising this wonderful event.

With the Sustainable Energy Council World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam and the Americas Summit in Washington DC behind us, it's time to take stock and look forward as we prepare for the Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition in Brisbane, Australia in September. Up until 2023, these conferences were dominated by discussion on the policy and investment "push" factors of hydrogen supply. In 2024, we have seen much more discussion around the "pull" factors of driving hydrogen demand. Of course, this vindicates what we at Star Scientific Limited have been saying for years, given the fact that we have the demand-side activator with our award-winning HERO® technology. 🎉 Congratulations to the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition Sustainable Energy Council on another successful year. 🎉 As the world's largest hydrogen event, this year's summit featured a diverse array of keynotes and panels from the main stage, African Forum, Financing Forum, and multiple side rooms with roundtable discussions and breakout sessions. The exhibition welcomed over 25,000 visitors across three expansive halls over two days, showcasing solutions across the entire value chain. This incredible turnout highlights the industry's strength and the dedication of governments committed to the clean energy transition. We’re excited to announce that Star Scientific has been recognized for our commitment to create an expansive research and manufacturing complex in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Throughout negotiations with the Economic Development Department, we were excited to learn of the opportunities from the Job-Creation Fund under the Local Economic Development Act (LEDA), including job training, and tax credits. The officials of New Mexico share our goals when selecting a site, which include opportunities for their community.
