Empowering Women in the Construction Industry Inspiring Breakfast Event Industry leaders and learners unite for a morning of networking, knowledge sharing, and celebration of women’s achievements in construction technology. In a collaborative effort to empower women in the construction industry, Taylor partnered with Microsoft to co-host a Women in Construction Breakfast at one of our Data Centre Projects. The event brought together industry peers and working learners, including students from TAFE NSW Institute of Applied Technology - Construction and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), for a morning of networking, knowledge sharing and a facilitated site tour. The breakfast provided a unique platform for women in the industry to connect, share insights, and explore the latest advancements in construction technology. A highlight of the event was a fun and interactive quiz featuring interesting statistics and facts about the industry. Congratulations to Isabella Di Nardo on winning first prize! Taylor is dedicated to advocating for and supporting women in the construction industry. Events like this highlight the incredible opportunities and rewarding careers available in the field. “We are thrilled to have partnered with Microsoft to host this event,” said Lulu Zhang, Contract Administrator at Taylor. “It’s initiatives like these that allow us to showcase the amazing potential and talent within our industry.” The event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of industry guests and partners, including Hayley Ward from the Property Council of Australia (PCA), National Association of Women in Construction (AU), University of Technology Sydney, and TAFE NSW. Taylor extends its gratitude to all partners for their participation. Combining practical learning with professional development, Taylor’s recent Cadet, Graduate, and Apprentice peer group catch up involved a unique field trip to Gosford Quarries, supplier of the stone for our Scots College project. This insightful tour was facilitated by Gosford Quarries Sandstone and the RJC Group, offering an exclusive look into the intricacies of stone cutting systems and hand-crafted products. The event allowed our younger Taylor team to develop their understanding of the procurement of materials and importance of relationship building with our subcontractors. Taylor hosted our Annual Charity Golf Day in February where we raised $70,000! All funds raised from the day will directly go towards the recently launched James Tedesco Outreach Program at the Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, helping to fund a dedicated Outreach Clinical Nurse Consultant. We would like to thank Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation, our Major Sponsor, All Lift Forklifts and Access Equipment, and other key sponsors and companies who pledged money or donated prizes for the raffle. Without your generous support and participation, the day would not be a success.
