  • Yesterday, our FiBL Europe team had the opportunity to visit The Experimental Platform for Agroecology in Hansbeke (PPAE Hansbeke | Agro-ecologie en Biolandbouw Living Lab), as part of our team building activity.   🌱 During the visit, we learned more about their: 🔹 Multi-year monitoring program for soil quality and carbon sequestration. 🔹 Innovative on-farm composting initiatives, incorporating materials from local nature reserves, straw manure, and the farm’s own residual flows. 🔹 Experiments with mixed cultures, such as cereals and pulses, and organic cultivation methods for ancient grain varieties.   If you are curious to learn more about this inspiring project, check out their website: https://lnkd.in/dVhb2krf   🏰 The day didn’t end there – we followed up with a guided tour of the beautiful city of Ghent, where we explored its rich history, admired its stunning sights, and had plenty of fun along the way!   🙌 A huge thank you to the entire team and everyone who helped organize this fantastic day – a perfect blend of learning, teamwork, and fun!   #Agroecology #Sustainability #OrganicFarming #TeamBuilding
