Last week, we welcomed our new interns – 14 bright students with great energy and willingness to learn. We wish them a joyful ride, lots of luck, and great achievements in the upcoming six months. 

Our colleagues Milena Stoilova, Culture and Engagement Manager, and Mariyan Vasev, Senior Manager, Talent Development, participated in Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) panel and workshop with Financial Times’ Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Rukasana Bhaijee.     Alongside experts from other tech companies and non-profit organizations, they discussed the challenges in promoting I&D programs as well as the most effective approaches and topics in this environment.     Thank you, Rukasana Bhaijee and Martina Angelova, for the invitation and the opportunity to share knowledge and experience on this crucial topic.

More than 300 Progressers joined the Progress Teambuilding: Wild Hunt Adventures Games.     Lots of fun, challenging games and high team spirit resulted in raising 3,100 BGN that Progress will donate to Diva Priroda Balkani Association.     Thanks to everyone who joined this amazing experience!     #ProgressPROUD #ProgressTeambuilding

At a joined event with Women Who Grow Sofia last week, Pavlina Hadjieva, Senior Director, Software Engineering at Progress, discussed individual and team productivity techniques as well as how her team’s productivity increased by 25% thanks to GenAI, leaving more time for creativity and innovation.    Pavlina leads eight engineering teams and has significant experience in time management, prioritization, managing complex tasks, and effective team communication.     Thanks to everyone who joined the event!

On June 14, World Blood Donor Day, we were recognized as a Distinguished Blood Donor at a special ceremony by the National Center for Transfusion Hematology and the Bulgarian Red Cross.        The Progress team in Bulgaria has organized blood donation campaigns for its employees for over 14 years. Annually around 50 Progressers give blood to save lives.   

Last Friday, Progress welcomed two girls from the Roma community as part of the GRACE initiative (Girls, Roma Ambassadors for Corporate Empowerment), organized by the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and the Arete Foundation and supported by the US Embassy in Bulgaria.     The girls learned more about the company, met professionals from the fields they want to pursue and discussed the opportunities and challenges for the Roma community with Dr. Shirley Knowles, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer.  

In a panel discussion at the Next Level HR Forum, alongside other industry experts, Maria Atanasova, Senior Director, People Business Partners discussed the most frequent challenges employers face while looking for employee engagement and efficiency. Този месец посрещнахме 16 ученика с интерес към информационните технологии от СУ „Георги Бенковски“ в гр. Тетевен в нашия офис. Те се запознаха с компанията, кариерните възможности, програмите за стаж, както и с други интересни инициативи.  Благодарим на нашите колеги Stefan Stefanov, старши директор „Управление на продукти“, Kiril Vandov, старши мениджър „Софтуерно инженерство“, и Verina Lefterova, Recruitment Marketing Lead, които представиха на групата интересния свят на технологиите в Progress.
