We’re pleased to share that Park Hyatt Toronto has received a MICHELIN Key — a new distinction that recognizes the most exceptional hotels worldwide — from The MICHELIN Guide. Hotels with a MICHELIN Key are chosen for excellence in architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; overall personality and character; value for the price; and being a significant contributor to the local area. A beloved Toronto landmark, Park Hyatt Toronto was renovated with ERA Architects Inc., Studio Munge, and a team of excellent consultants. We restored the heritage south tower, renovated the north tower, upgraded rooms and residential units, created a new entrance and a glass-fronted central podium, and updated the much-loved rooftop bar. Tomorrow, September 25, founding partner Bruce Kuwabara will speak about Pier 8, a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use residential community coming to Hamilton, at the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) conference. As part of its 2024 conference, the OPPI brings together presenters Kuwabara and Andrea Smith, MCIP, RPP, PMP, Chris Phillips, and Peter Fortune from the City Of Hamilton to discuss the transformation of West Harbour from an industrial site to a mixed-used community and waterfront destination. In 2018, with Superkül, gh3*, and OMAR GANDHI ARCHITECTS INC, KPMB prepared the competition-winning design for a master plan vision to transform Pier 8 into a new neighbourhood — an engaged community that is inclusive, open and accessible.
