“We need to be able to reach people in order to avoid catastrophic consequences,” - Ted Chaiban, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director, speaking from the Al-Matar gathering site in Kassala, #Sudan, where 4,000 displaced people have sought refuge from the ongoing conflict. With 8 million facing acute malnutrition and 10 million displaced, UNICEF is providing essential services, including water, health, and psychosocial support for children.

Collective Action = Collective Impact. For over a decade, female changemakers across #Canada have worked alongside UNICEF to create a transformational impact for children. Women UNlimited has reached over 2.3 million children and women globally through their philanthropic investment in UNICEF's global programs. We gathered in #Vancouver to learn how Women UNlimited is advancing UNICEF's education work across #Ecuador through a live virtual experience. Joined by our colleagues from UNICEF Ecuador in the Esmeraldas region, we had the opportunity to meet teachers, community leaders and adolescents, who explained the complex socio-economic challenges in a region where only 65% of children complete secondary school. Thanks to the investment from the Women UNlimited initiative, UNICEF has been strengthening Ecuador's education system, impacting tens of thousands of children: 🔵 Reaching 25,500 young children with early education and parenting programs. 🔵 Supporting 400 young mothers and adolescents through Accelerated Learning. 🔵 Enhancing bilingual education for 12,255+ students with 645 teachers. Together, we saw the positive and sustainable impact Women UNlimited has on Ecuador's children firsthand. #WomenUNlimited

Ayesha, a 13-year-old #GirlGoals champion from #Bangladesh, is breaking gender stereotypes in #STEM education. Supported by her father, Ayesha is mastering practical skills through her school's new UNICEF-supported curriculum, which takes a more hands-on learning approach. “My dad teaches me how electric gadgets work. I like fixing broken appliances, putting things together and watching them light up.” Her passion for science shines as she builds solar ovens, recreates the solar system and understands the inner workings of electric gadgets. Ayesha represents a new generation empowered to innovate and lead. Let's celebrate her journey and inspire more girls to follow in her footsteps.
