20 top crop seeding robotics solutions 🌱 💡 A Timely Solution Robotics is the latest wave of agricultural mechanisation that started over a century ago with the combine harvester and other labour-saving machines. It’s arriving at an important time: there’s intense pressure to make our food systems more efficient and environmentally friendly. 🧮 The Future By 2050 “we’ll need to feed 2 billion more people” with rising dietary expectations. One way to do this: leaning into AI-enabled technologies that plant more crops with greater precision. 📈 Sustainable Growth ”Smart” farm robots can help make farming more sustainable by reducing fertiliser, herbicide, water, and energy usage. Down the supply chain, their accuracy can contribute to less food wastage. That’s important, because modern agriculture damages the environment and is one of the biggest contributors to global warming. ✂️ TL;DR Crop-seeding robots address real problems in high-income-economy farms, starting with the crisis of farm labour. They also have environmental benefits. Their ultimate success, however, depends on lowering costs and opening up the technology to farms all over the world. 🔦 The Who's Who: AI.Land GmbH l Aerobotics l Agrodronas l AgroScout l Bluewhite l Burro EarthSense, Inc. l Ecorobotix l FarmDroid l Farm-ng l FarmWise l Fendt l HORSCH l Inverto Earth l Naïo Technologies l Rowbot Systems l Sentera l SIZA Robotics l SwarmFarm Robotics l XMACHINES Check out the full report by Will MacNamara to hear the opportunities, challenges and data points on the future of crop seeding robotics: https://lnkd.in/ePzGmG3S
