We’re delighted to welcome the arrival of safe and effective #malaria vaccines in Nigeria ahead of the rollout! We’re proud to work with UNICEF Nigeria and World Health Organization to support The Government of Nigeria and the Ministry of Health's efforts to #endmalaria: Nigeria carries the highest burden of malaria globally, accounting for approximately 27% of the global malaria burden and 31% of malaria deaths worldwide. This marks a historic step in the fight against a disease that claims the lives of thousands of Nigerian children every year. “Rolling out this vaccine, alongside the other powerful tools we have to fight this disease, represents a major step forward towards our goal of a malaria-free future.” - Gavi’s Dr. Adetokunbo Oshin. With donor support, we will protect 50 million children against malaria between 2026-2030. #ForOurFuture
