🐝 Dr Phungmayo Horam, a business professor in Germany, is turning his teachings into action by launching a startup in Nagaland, India. His mission? To empower local beekeepers producing unique stingless bee honey in the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot. 🌳Currently, these beekeepers earn only a fraction of their product's value. Dr Horam's venture aims to create a premium market, ensuring fair prices and promoting biodiversity and forest preservation. 💡The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH is supporting Dr Horam and his team to implement this business idea in India. 🧬❤️ The project Application of Nanopore Sequencing Technology for Clinical Research in Vietnam is setting new standards in clinical research and paving the way for a healthier future! Led by PD Dr. Doan Duy Hai Tran from Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, the project uses advanced nanopore sequencing to improve the detection and analysis of genetic and complex diseases. Nanopore sequencing is a modern method for reading DNA and RNA. It works by passing a strand of DNA or RNA through a tiny hole (nanopore) and detecting changes in electrical current to identify the sequence of nucleotides. This allows for quick and accurate genetic analysis, useful for diagnosing diseases. 🔬 With Prof. Dr. Tran Doan Duy Hai's expertise, these innovative techniques will significantly enhance healthcare and patient treatment in Vietnam. 🌡️👩⚕️ This project will be conducted in collaboration with the VGI Network - Vietnam Germany Innovation Network and the Vietnam-Germany Medical Research Center (VGCARE) and is supported by the programme "Shaping development-oriented migration" (MEG).
