🌱 Think Green – Be Green – Build Green 🌱 Seit nunmehr über 20 Jahren setzen wir uns dafür ein, Innenstädte aufzuwerten und das Stadtbild zu verbessern. Inmitten der pulsierenden #Domstadt Köln und in fußläufiger Nähe zueinander können wir drei Großprojekte zu unserem Portfolio zählen, die speziell durch unsere Expertise – Bauen im Bestand – den Fokus auf #Nachhaltigkeit legen und zur Verbesserung des Stadtklimas beitragen. Die ehemalige Versicherungszentrale Gerling gilt als größtes privates Baudenkmal der Wirtschaftswunderzeit. Dieses Quartier wird derzeit zum Mixed-Use Ensemble unter dem Namen #GERLINGGARDEN umgewandelt und 2025 fertiggestellt. Das #Innenstadtquartier bietet Büro-, Einzelhandels- und Gastronomieflächen sowie 207 Hotelzimmer in erstklassiger Kölner Innenstadtlage mit Blick ins Grüne. Das Projekt #CARRÉBELGE ist nach Vorgaben des von ingenhoven associates geprägten Konzepts Supergreen® entwickelt und repositioniert worden. Auch hier war es die Idee, ein Projekt mit einer hohen Drittverwendbarkeit entstehen zu lassen, um so einen langen Bestand gewährleisten zu können. Das CARRÉ BELGE ist ein Mixed-Used Gebäudeensemble mit den Nutzungsarten Büro, Hotel und Einzelhandel.  Unser jüngstes Projekt – das #CENTRALCROSS – verbindet urbane Mobilität, flexible Büroräume, grüne Außenbereiche und einen effizienten #Gebäudebetrieb. Auch hier steht der Nachhaltigkeitsgedanke im Mittelpunkt, denn man entschied sich gegen einen Abriss und für eine klimafreundliche Nutzung der Substanz nach Plänen von kadawittfeldarchitektur. Durch eine hochmoderne Gebäudehülle und die Nutzung von Photovoltaik gelingt es, die Unabhängigkeit von Energieversorgern zu erhöhen und dabei Betriebskosten zu optimieren sowie CO2-Emissionen zu reduzieren. Nach Fertigstellung werden hier hochwertige Büro- und Einzelhandelsflächen entstehen. Wir freuen uns darüber, dass wir unseren Beitrag für eine klimafreundliche Zukunft leisten und sind gespannt auf weitere Projekte. Freiburg celebrates the cornerstone laying ceremony for the second tract of the Townhall Ensemble. The new administrative building, the "Family Townhall" (RiS B), will accommodate 800 city employees and consolidate family-focused and educational departments under one roof. This stage of the innovative project has undergone a rigorous value engineering process, ensuring it remains efficient, aesthetic, ecological, and within budget despite rising construction costs. The building will also achieve net-surplus energy, reinforcing its sustainability credentials. The Green Administrative Campus is revitalizing the Stühlinger area, creating a greenbelt link between Eschholz Park and the University Hospital, and replacing the old town hall pavilion. Stuttgart Main Station: Hands & Minds Peter Pistorius has been an integral part of our project since its inception in 1997, bringing in his exceptional skills as a passionate designer and 3D artist. His deep perception of geometry is unparalleled as as is his understanding of the Main Station's complex and multidimensional appearence. He knows the shell's sculpturally curved surfaces like no other. Throughout the years, he has masterfully orchestrated the refinement process, optimizing the form for more efficient construction and material use while preserving the spacial poetry that defines the structure. 27 years on, and Peter is still pushing boundaries. Calwer Passage: Green Good Design Award 2024 in the category of "Green Urban Planning / Landscape Architecture" by the The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design. The award underscores Calwer Passage's significant contribution to sustainable urban development and its positive impact on the larger cityscape. This recognition complements the project's earlier accolade, the Materialpreis 2023 acknowledgment by raumprobe I Material Bank, which celebrated the multifacetted vegetation selection details of its facade. Martin Reuter had the honor of participating in a fascinating session initiated by Davide Ruzzon, founder of the NAAD Neuroscience applied to architectural design at the Università Iuav di Venezia. This unique post-graduate course bridges neuroscience and architecture to create more human-centered designs. The workshop featured an engaging dialogue with students and invited speakers, exploring the societal impact of four distinctive administrative buildings: - Dhaka Parliament, reviewed by Sarah Williams Goldhagen - Uppsala Town Hall, discussed by Per Ebbe Hansson - Freiburg Town Hall, presented by Martin Reuter - Gembloux Town Hall, introduced by Simone Gobbo The lively discussion highlighted how these structures contribute to reinforcing the social fabric, emphasizing the importance of approaching both buildings and public spaces simultaneously. Other key points included the availability of safe spaces for community engagement, the emotional impact of materials and the crucial role of common ground in public areas. In the summer, the Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz shifts into an open-air stage for captivating performances, accommodating up to 400 spectators. This year, the plaza transformed into an official fan zone for the UEFA EURO 2024, featuring live game broadcasts.   Following the sporting encounters, the viewing journey transcends into a mesmerizing cultural spectacle.
