Huge congratulations to the top three teams in the recent 50-portfolio stock pitch competition! 🥇 First Place goes to Group 7: Josep C., Adria Anglada Dolcet, Joan Batlló Rius, Marco Bertaccini and Lorenzo Lucantoni who delivered a winning analysis on STMicroelectronics NV. Their detailed approach and understanding of the semiconductor industry were truly impressive, highlighting complex dynamics that made the value of STMicroelectronics clear. Exceptional work! 🥈 Second Place: Darius Cortina, Kilian Llopis, Magnus Evjen Sønstebø, Daniel Kuano Lee and Mariia Tsaturyan for their outstanding pitch on Genmab. Their depth of knowledge in biotech and detailed analysis of Genmab’s potential in cancer treatment were remarkable. Well done! 🥉 Third Place: Ignacio Baratech, Jan Prat Cunill, Júlia Ratera Corchs and Toni Mora Bernal with an impressive pitch on Thales Group. Their understanding of the defence and technology sectors, and their strategic vision for Thales, left a lasting impression. Great job! A big thank you to our judges from Deloitte, Marc Cánovas Ferré and Paula Solé Moliner for their invaluable feedback and guidance through this whole competition. Their expertise greatly enhanced the experience for all participants. And, of course, a huge thank you to our organisers: Pablo Ardèvol Durán, Tammy Broder, Alexis Doujenis, Elies Baghriche, David Tarrech, Ángela Pellón and Jakub Fialka  for all your hard work in making this event possible! Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and motivation, especially in attending this event straight after the midterms! We are pleased to announce that our ESFS Annual Report 23/24 is now available to read. The report highlights the milestones we have undertaken in each department and our development throughout this academic year. After a fruitful year, driven by the tremendous motivation of our participants and the significant efforts of our members, we are proud to announce that we had over 800 attendees across 15 major events organised this year, actively engaging with over 40 industry professionals and leaders. As the largest finance society in Spain, we plan to expand even further next year. We additionally thank all our members for their efforts this year and look forward to the upcoming year with great enthusiasm. The ESFS would like to thank Mariia Tsaturyan for her incredible efforts in curating this report over the past two months. Finally, as we say goodbye to our previous board, we wish them all the best in their future endeavours. We are excited to share that the 5th edition of the 50 Portfolio Stock Pitching Competition has come to an end with a huge success! This event is dedicated in loving memory of Alex Gil, a cherished member of the team whose support and enthusiasm were instrumental in the revival of the competition after 3 years of inactivity. Our thoughts are with his family and friends as we express our deepest condolences. This event was possible due to the invaluable collaboration from Deloitte Financial Advisory and specifically, Òscar Roselló Bayot and Patricia González Cuadras whose expertise, insights and judgements were essential for the overall experience of the competitors and the great outcome of the event. As we progressed through this tough challenge, we encountered many great submissions from students that were truly remarkable and we were very impressed by the quality of the work. After careful deliberation, we are pleased to congratulate our winners: Pol Codina, Nicolas Ehlis, Marco Viladevall Villaescusa, Liliana Amer Nogareda and Julia Iranzo Vilaseca! Your pitch about ARM Holdings demonstrated exceptional insight and creativity. Keep up the great work! We extend our gratitude to all participants for your enthusiastic involvement, it has been a pleasure to have you all with us this past week.
