    We just unearthed 10 opportunities with VPs of marketing yesterday for a client in the SEO space. How did we do this? We tested multiple trigger events: ➡ We pulled influencer post likers with a 4-step account qualification process We used the client's SEO expertise to train a GPT to craft personalised optimisations based on the prospect's website. (This pulled in a lead per 60 prospects but was a low-volume list.) ➡ We engaged enterprise-led software companies and settled on 3 different criteria for us to reach out. With a pretty creative and relevant offer. (This hasn't pulled in any leads so far...sad face :/) ➡ We reapplied the "star alignment" conditional outbound approach with less personalisation with SaaS companies that had an established product-led engine. This trigger was the winner 🌟 (We got a lead per 30 prospects) The lesson we learned: relevance and offers are key. Split test your offer and your criteria for outbound, and always be testing. Outbound for SEO agencies is regarded as a tough exercise, but you can get responses in almost any industry if your timing, relevance, offer and targeting are right. Side note: We had a dodgy domain which was hurting deliverability, this custom report Instantly.ai helped me find it :)

    I'm flooded with messages from agencies struggling with bad contact data for their clients - all facing the same issues The 3 most common ones (and how I usually answer): 1. Bad coverage 2. Bad quality 3. High prices So basically every dimension that matters in data: Quality, Coverage, Pricing Here are my takeaways for each of them: 1. Bad Coverage Most agencies use 1 data source. The big problem here: On average, one provider finds 30-50%. In practice, these agencies miss out on a ton of leads. (and eventually paying customers) The good thing: the providers are complementary. One finds data which the other one doesn't. 2. Bad quality Many tools like Apollo say their emails are verified. But in practice, over 35% are actually invalid. (we have a lot of data on that) Especially tricky for phone numbers, which are hard to verify. 3. High prices ZoomInfo, Cognism etc. - good solutions. But the data landscape has changed.     After 4 years in B2B sales, my question is: Is AI the game-changer we've been waiting for? Four years in B2B sales have shown me how rapidly things are changing, especially with the rise of AI tools like Clay, the democratization of B2B data, and ChatGPT for research and content. These innovations have transformed how we find and connect with customers. It’s exciting, but also overwhelming, so many tools, so little sales... I’m noticing a big gap between what these tools can do and how they’re actually being used day-to-day.     Cold emailing became even more overwhelming this year. New regulations, a vast amount of new tools, AI usage etc. Here is a solid 5-step plan for to crush it: 0. Email Providers Make sure to use 2 email service providers. Don't only stick to G-Suite, but consider Outlook as well. 1. Check your set up Get a secondary domain at Namecheap, GoDaddy, or elsewhere. Use MxToolBox to check if SPF, DMARC, DKIM are set up. 2. Warm up your emails Use Instantly.ai/Smartlead to build a sender reputation. This will help you to increase deliverability. 3. Use trusted contact data Find leads from Sales Navigator/Apollo. Use BetterContact to find & verify email addresses. AI-waterfalling will give you access to 20+ data sources. For maximum accuracy, bounce verification layers are included. 4. Automate your outreach Again, use Instantly.ai/Smartlead to automate your outreach.
