🍽️ Did you know that wasted global food production could feed 1.6 billion people each year?   As leaders gather for the Nutrition for Growth Summit in Paris, we spotlight the urgent need to address malnutrition in all its forms—undernutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and overnutrition—affecting 2.8 billion people worldwide.   🌍 Rising food insecurity, climate shocks, and economic instability are worsening the global nutrition crisis. As the Nutrition for Growth Summit in Paris approaches, the Paris Peace Forum has partnered with an Independent Expert Panel on Nutrition, led by Shawn Baker, Chief Program Officer at Helen Keller Intl, to release key policy recommendations aimed at scaling up the fight against malnutrition.   💡 Why does this report matter? Malnutrition remains a global challenge, and we need bold, effective policies to drive real change. This report highlights four priority areas for action: ✅ Expanding and training health workforces to integrate nutrition into healthcare services ✅ Promoting climate-smart agriculture for a more sustainable food system ✅ Breaking down consumer barriers to accessing healthy diets ✅ Transforming school feeding programs into true school nutrition programs to better support food-insecure communities   📢 The time to act is NOW!
