Across the globe, our subsidiaries gathered to explore practical solutions for a more sustainable future. Here’s an overview of the week! 🌱 Interactive workshops Our teams took part in a series of engaging workshops to better understand the challenges of CO2 emissions and ways to reduce them, both at work and in daily life. Quizzes, CO2 mapping, and environmental education sessions were on the agenda. Soletanche-Bachy Colombia - SOGEA MAROC - Triverio Construction - Sogea Environnement - VINCI Construction Outre-mer 🚗 Eco-Driving Contest Eurovia Québec launched an internal eco-driving contest, which will officially start in 2025. A great initiative to encourage more sustainable driving habits within the company. 🚴♂️ Cycling Challenge NUVIA's team cycled 400 km over three days, with every kilometer translating into donations for environmental causes—a meaningful way to contribute to sustainability. 🌍 Throwback to sustainable projects VINCI Construction Grands Projets showcased some of their standout projects that paved the way for a greener future, all aligned with our 2030 goals: slashing CO2 emissions by 40%, recycling 90% of our waste, and reaching zero net biodiversity loss on our worksites. [Nouveau contrat ✍️🚞] VINCI remporte un contrat ferroviaire en Australie - Modernisation d'une section de la ligne ferroviaire North Coast Line au nord de Brisbane dans le Queensland - Contrat d’une valeur de 432 millions d'euros (695 millions de dollars australiens) Seymour Whyte, filiale de VINCI Construction en Australie, a remporté – dans le cadre d’un groupement d’entreprises avec John Holland (50/50) – le contrat de modernisation d’un tronçon ferroviaire situé entre Beerburrum et Nambour dans le sud-est de l’État du Queensland. Les travaux, d’une valeur de 432 millions d'euros (695 millions de dollars australiens), commenceront en 2025 pour une durée de deux ans. Ils recouvrent le doublement et le réalignement des rails, la modernisation d’un parc de stationnement et des systèmes de signalisation. The works, worth 432 million euros (695 million Australian dollars), will start in 2025 for two years. They include the duplication of tracks, the straightening of rails, an upgraded park ’n’ ride facility and signalling systems. In addition, several viaducts will be built and renovated. This project is the first phase in the renovation of the North Coast Line on behalf of the Department of Transport and Main Roads. This renovated and modernised line will increase traffic and optimise travel for passengers and freight in a fast-growing region. In 2023, the joint venture had already been appointed to undertake the preparatory phase which included design development and stakeholder engagement, geotechnical investigation works as well as environmental and cultural heritage planning and approvals.

LEAG (Lusatian Energy Mining Company) - a key player in Germany's energy sector plans to establish wind and solar facilities generating around 7,000 MW of renewable energy by 2030. To support this ambitious project, a new substation is being built in Heinersbrück, Cottbus. 🚧 New project in Canada 🚧 Our Canadian subsidiaries, BA Blacktop Group of Companies and Carmacks Enterprises will lead an important project to upgrade and widen a 4.5 km stretch of Highway 1 in British Columbia. This €62M project will improve the daily commute for over 80,000 motorists by expanding lanes, building new bridges, and implementing key environmental measures such as creating ecosystems to support aquatic wildlife and promoting biodiversity in the area. [Nouveaux contrats 🛣️ ] VINCI remporte un contrat de modernisation et d’élargissement de la Highway 1 au Canada (English below) VINCI Construction, à travers ses filiales canadiennes BA Blacktop Group of Companies et Carmacks Enterprises, réalisera dans le cadre d’un groupement d’entreprises la modernisation et l'élargissement d'une section de 4,5 km de la Highway 1 en Colombie-Britannique. Le projet, d'une valeur totale de 62 millions d’euros (94 millions de dollars canadiens), fait partie du programme d'amélioration du corridor autoroutier de la Fraser Valley, situé à 70 km de Vancouver. Il vise à mieux desservir cette région en pleine croissance et à améliorer les conditions de circulation des 80 000 automobilistes qui empruntent l’axe routier chaque jour. Le projet comprend l'élargissement de l'autoroute avec notamment de nouvelles voies dédiées au covoiturage et aux bus, la construction de deux nouveaux ponts et la rénovation d'une aire de repos. Des mesures environnementales seront menées pour recréer un écosystème pour la faune aquatique et favoriser la #biodiversité. It aims to better serve the growing region and improve traffic conditions and safety for the 80,000 motorists who use the corridor every day. The project encompasses the widening of Highway 1 to introduce carpooling and bus lanes, the construction of two new bridges and the rehabilitation and upgrading of a rest area. Environmental measures will be taken to recreate an ecosystem for aquatic fauna and foster #biodiversity. The project, scheduled for substantial completion in the summer of 2027, targets a 15% of the workforce to come from local First Nation communities, mainly Kwantlen and Matsqui.

⚡️ Energetic transition: building a greener future in Tamm with EUROVIA Deutschland! As part of Tamm’s journey toward climate neutrality by 2023, our teams have successfully installed district heating pipelines connecting 13,000 residents to sustainable energy from a biogas plant! This project, executed in collaboration with EUROVIA Deutschland Stuttgart and Omexom (part of VINCI Energies), was rolled out in six phases. Each phase involved creating trenches and connecting 15 homes to the new heating network, fostering synergy to #BuildBetterTogether and deliver energy-efficient solutions to the community. 👉 In den nächsten Wochen stellen wir euch in unserer Serie #nachhaltigEUROVIA Projekte vor, die unser nachhaltiges Engagement zeigen. Teil 1: ein Projekt in Tamm, Baden-Württemberg. 🌎 Die Stadt Tamm nördlich von Stuttgart hat Großes vor: Bis 2030 sollen die rund 13.000 Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner klimaneutral mit Wärme versorgt werden. ☝️ Dazu werden im Auftrag der Stadtwerke Fernwärmeleitungen im Stadtgebiet verlegt. Eine zentrale Rolle beim Umbau zur nachhaltigen Wärmeversorgung spielt die Biogasanlage im benachbarten Markgrönnigen. Diese liefert nicht nur Strom, sondern auch Wärme, weshalb zwischen April bis August 2023 auch eine 1,8 Kilometer lange Fernwärmeleitung zur Biogasanlage verlegt wurde. 🚧 Umgesetzt wurde das Bauvorhaben von unserer EUROVIA Niederlassung Stuttgart, Zweigstelle Stuttgart West. Zwischen August 2023 und Juli 2024 wurde die Fernwärmeleitung im Stadtgebiet Tamm verlegt. Die Bauausführung erfolgte dabei in sechs Abschnitten. 🤝 Pro Abschnitt stellte die Zweigstelle die Gräben und 15 Hausanschlüsse her und verlegte die Fernwärmeleitungen in Zusammenarbeit mit der VINCI Tochter Omexom Deutschland als ARGE-Partner. 🎉 Wir sind stolz, mit dem Verlegen der Fernwärmeleitungen einen Beitrag zu einer nachhaltigen Energieversorgung leisten zu können. Vielen Dank an das Team für diese tolle Leistung.
