What an exciting morning hosting our annual Jardines' Strategic Direction, bringing together leaders from across the Group to talk about our enhanced focus on our role as an engaged, long-term investor. In our panel discussion, we heard from Janine Feng who joined the Jardines Board in 2023 as Independent Non-Executive Director, on how we can learn from Private Equity to drive shareholder value. Stephen Gore, Chief Investment Officer of Jardine Matheson, provided an overview of the importance of Total Shareholder Returns, and outlined our investment approach and criteria. I was then joined by Lucy Zhou, Chief Financial Officer of Jardine Engineering Corporation, who moderated an insightful Q&A session. It was great to connect once again with our senior leaders and colleagues. We are on a journey as we and our businesses evolve. The future is encouraging.

On International Women's Day, our Jardines colleagues came together to celebrate women and promote awareness, empathy and actionable change towards inclusivity. We welcomed Grace Cheng from Agewhale, who gave a keynote on the hardships faced by caregivers in Hong Kong and provided colleagues with practical eldercare resources. Colleagues also took part in a DIY jewellery workshop which supports underprivileged single mothers, an IWD-themed pop-quiz, and an interactive menstrual-pain and labour simulation provided by Excellent Moon, offering participants a deeper understanding of these experiences. At Jardines, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive workplace that fosters growth and achievement for all. We welcomed the arrival of the Year of the Wood Snake with our annual Jardines Spring Lunch. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together with colleagues here in Hong Kong, acknowledge our accomplishments from the past year, and look ahead to the year to come. Wood is a symbol of growth, and when combined with the Snake's wisdom and meticulous and patient nature, it supports the idea of stability and steady transformation. At Jardines, we wholeheartedly embrace this combination of self-reflection and continued evolution. On behalf of Jardine Matheson, I extend my wishes for a joyous Lunar New Year filled with prosperity and success.
