🎯 Achieving project milestones one at a time We are proud to share that our North South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project in the Philippines has consistently achieved important project milestones. 🚧 For package CP S-03B, track recovery was completed on July 2024 and for CP S-3A, track recovery and fencing works are completed 55% as of August 2024. Both packages are on schedule. Mobilisation of subcontractors for key project components will now start for both packages. Recently, the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (Hong Kong) held the AGS(HK) Final Year Project Competition 2024 in Leighton Asia’s office. David Sein, our Head of Engineering, in his role as AGS(HK) Chairman presented the awards to the winners of the competition. The AGS(HK) Final Year Project Competition is an annual competition 🏗️ to support local young talent and professionals’ academic and future career development, recognise research excellence of young talent and encourage them in pursuit of excellence in the industry. 👩💻 👩💻 Welcoming NTU Singapore Engineering students at North-South Corridor Project   Our North-South Corridor Project Team in Singapore recently welcomed Nanyang Technological University Engineering students for a 2-week attachment as part of their exciting learning journey.     The students learned about the inner workings of a construction project with site walks guided by our Safety team, and had the opportunity to visit testing laboratories and different departments. 🏗️   “It is really an eye-opening experience for me to see how different areas of knowledge and departments come together to create such a big scale project.” – Ms Jaya from Team NTU   “This was a highly valuable experience that has given me a deeper appreciation of the tremendous amount of hard work that goes into construction. I’m so glad that I got to be here.” – Ms Kervyn from Team NTU   💡 Small steps make big changes. ⛑️ Adopting advanced safety technologies on IEC Boardwalk Project 📣 We are proud to share that our IEC Boardwalk project team participated in the Smart Site Safety System Labelling Scheme (4SLS). The scheme is awarded by the Development Bureau and Construction Industry Council in recognition of its efforts to adopt innovative technology-based solutions for managing health and safety risks on site. 🏅 Some of the advanced technologies deployed on the IEC Boardwalk project include: ✔️ AI-based CCTV Safety monitoring system ✔️ Smart Roborigger for lifting operations ✔️ Robotic Lifesaver for safe and rapid marine rescue operation ✔️ Health Monitoring Smart Watch and Helmets ✔️ Centralized Management Platform for data visualisation and oversight ✔️ Digitised permit-to-work system ✔️ Virtual Reality (VR) Training Program tailored to raise awareness of marine safety risks These innovative solutions serve as a benchmark as we further enhance our One HSE Culture across our projects in Asia.  💡 Tunnel LED lighting replacement works in Singapore successfully delivered In Singapore, our electrical services project achieved another milestone . The team successfully delivered the tunnel LED lighting replacement works for Fort Canning Tunnel. ✅ A trial operation at the Fort Canning Tunnel was undertaken with our client’s project team, design team and maintenance team. This walk through the tunnel and inspection of the overall lighting system performance was the culmination of months of detailed planning and hard work. 📢 Leighton Asia wins A$87m mixed-use project in India Leighton Asia has been awarded a contract to construct a retail mall and a hotel and serviced apartment tower in Gurgaon, India, by the Elan Group.
