We are thrilled to share that WSP has been awarded a significant project by CES_SDC Pte Ltd for the reconstruction of Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (CCKWW), operated by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. This project will transform one of Singapore’s water treatment plants into a Future Ready®, smart, and efficient facility. As part of our works, we will deliver a comprehensive scope of services which include consultancy for earth retaining systems, earth control measures, structural upgrades, and prestressed tank design. The plant’s upgrade will enhance its capabilities in operations, maintenance, safety, and security, aligning with Singapore’s sustainable water goals. As an expert in the power generation sector, we are committed to support the entire power generation project lifecycle. That’s why we participated in Enlit Asia in Kuala Lumpur from 8-10 October, showcasing our cutting-edge technical solutions and exchanging ideas with industry professionals. Our Asia Power Technical Director, Dr. Krishnamoorthi Sivalingam, and Power Associate Massarrat Jahan Ansari, delivered a presentation on ‘A Framework for Large-scale Energy Storage Deployment and Operation’, sharing insights on successful energy storage integration. As we continue to strive towards ESG and net zero goals, it’s not just about the vision but the sustainable path to achieve them. To share insights on latest technologies and sustainable financing models, we invited our friends and collaborators to discuss our ‘Smart Energy’ approach to accelerate the journey. After a warm welcoming from our Asia CEO Ivy Kong, our experts including Paul Kau, Colin Fleming - MSc, BSc, CEng, MIMechE, Alex Wan, Ronald Chan, Kenneth Li, Peter Chan and PK Chan provided a comprehensive overview of latest emission reduction trends, cutting-edge advancements in building energy efficiency and the transformative role of AI in decarbonising building portfolios. We were delighted to have Emily Li from Nan Fung to share how their group incentivises tenants for sustainability through power of technology and data, and Angus Choi from KPMG to inspire our audience on business models that could support sustainable energy projects. Ensuring viability in a net-zero economy is crucial. The recent coffee tasting event at our Taiwan office was more than just a delightful experience for our taste buds. It was a reaffirmation of our commitment to ESG principles, allowing us to witness the positive global impact of fair trade firsthand. Fair trade ensures that farmers and workers receive fair compensation, uphold labour rights, and focus on sustainable development. These core concepts align perfectly with our ESG emphasis on social responsibility and environmental protection. On that day, we sampled ten different hand-brewed fair trade coffees from various origins. To extend this experience, we also offered pre-brewed coffee at the office, sharing the rich flavours and the spirit of fair trade with more colleagues. Every sip showcased how fair trade promotes social justice and environmental protection.
