Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland hosted a networking and career development event this week, at IDA HQ in Dublin. This event was part of the Enterprise Ireland and IDA Graduate Network, established to support early-career graduates in connecting, learning, and advancing their careers within both agencies. Mary Buckley, IDA Executive Director opened the event by sharing her career insights and emphasising the importance of collaboration between the two agencies at all levels. The event also featured valuable advice on career development from Enterprise Ireland's Anna-Marie Turley and Sean Walsh, IDA's John Nugent, Tim Costello, and Anita Aspill, and the HPC team Justin Kinnear and Barry O'Sullivan. The event concluded with closing remarks from representatives of the Enterprise Ireland and IDA graduate groups, providing attendees the opportunity to network with peers, guest speakers, and various teams.

Enterprise Ireland's five-year strategy, "Delivering for Ireland, Leading Globally (2025-2029)," aims to position export-focused companies as the main drivers of the Irish economy. The plan includes supporting 1,000 new start-ups, achieving €50bn in exports, reducing CO2 emissions by 35% by 2030, and increasing productivity by 3% annually. It also targets supporting 1,700 additional Irish-owned exporters and boosting R&D investment to €2.2bn per year. The strategy aims to increase employment in Enterprise Ireland supported companies to 275,000 by 2029. Dublin drone delivery service Manna Air Delivery has announced a new $30m funding round, bringing its total equity funding to over $60m to scale its operations. This latest investment was co-led by Molten Ventures and Tapestry VC, with participation from several international institutional investors including Enterprise Ireland. Manna Air Delivery currently serves 150,000 residents and is rapidly expanding into new European markets. Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is the largest and most significant trade show in the beauty sector in Europe, welcoming professionals from over 150 countries. Enterprise Ireland hosted the Ireland Pavilion at the event, themed ‘Driven by purpose, perfected by nature,’ which highlighted the importance of sustainability in the Irish health and beauty sector.
