Yesterday was a pivotal day at the Delhi Transport Corporation HQ as we gathered with global and local stakeholders to discuss the future of electric buses (e-buses) in Delhi and Latin America. The session kicked off with a warm welcome from WRI India, followed by a deep dive into the LATAM TUMI Study Tour led by Natália Chaves from GIZ Brazil, where key experiences from Latin America were shared. ✨
We then heard from Smt. Shilpa Shinde (IAS), Managing Director of DTC, who outlined the DTC’s vision for e-bus adoption in Delhi. She touched on the challenges they face, their evolving role as a regulator, and how city policies are aligning to accelerate this transition.
