A day to remind us to reflect on our #mentalhealth and raise awareness. "It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace" is the theme chosen for World Mental Health Day 2024, an important reminder of the need to foster #healthy and #inclusive work environments. In our Group, mental well-being of our people, both on board and onshore, is a top priority. Since 2021, we have introduced various initiatives aimed at improving corporate #wellbeing, and more recently we have partnered with Mindwork - Wellbeing in progress, launching a series of webinars on psychological well-being to foster awareness and support our people to turn information into tangible actions. Today, we are proud to announce the participation of Francesco Rotundo, our HR & General Affairs Group Director, as a speaker at the #HeadOn 2024 event. Francesco will represent d’Amico Shipping Group as a member of Mindwork’s 2024 Mental Well-being Council: a board of companies that, signing the Manifesto Be-Mindful, recognise the importance of caring for their employees’ mental health and are committed to promoting it every day. #Sustainability and caring for #people are core values for our Group, and we wanted to bring them in an initiative that would best represent both. For this reason, we organized a team-building activity in collaboration with our partner Ogyre Several employees from our Rome office enthusiastically participated in a Beach Clean-up Day on the Fregene coastline in Fiumicino, Italy. The event started with a presentation by a marine biologist, who provided valuable insights about the current state of our marine ecosystems. Afterward, the d’Amico team got to work cleaning up a section of the beach, carefully sorting the collected waste by type. Together, we collected 29 kg of waste! It was a significant contribution that made us proud of our efforts, heightened our awareness of the need to change certain daily habits to protect our planet and its future. We are confident that we will continue to organize similar initiatives in the next future. On September 10th, London hosted the 16th Capital Link Shipping & Marine Services Forum- Capital Link, a key event for various shipping markets and maritime professionals. The forum offered participants a valuable #opportunity to #network, explore, and reflect on emerging market trends and investment opportunities within the #shipping industry. Emanuele d'Amico, our Director of d’Amico Dry, was invited to speak on the "Dry Bulk Shipping" panel, where he shared his perspective and provided key insights on the topics discussed. He emphasized that maritime transport markets are increasingly diverging from macroeconomic indicators, a trend that may persist in the short term. Nations are focusing on securing commodities, and despite low prices, production levels remain high. He also addressed the state of the fleets, stating: “The low rate of vessel demolitions is sustaining a less efficient fleet, which runs counter to #ESG demands for younger, more fuel-efficient vessels. A potential decline in freight rates could spur demolitions, helping the fleet align more closely with environmental and sustainability standards.” #CapitalLink #DryBulk #Shipping

This focus highlights the importance of digitalization in accelerating the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the crucial role that young people play in this process. The new generations are at the forefront of #digital adoption and #innovation, which are essential for addressing global challenges. Attracting, engaging, and retaining young talents are primary objectives of the HR Department at d’Amico Shipping Group and key components of our employer branding strategy.   We are very happy of the growing number of #young professionals in our team, both on board and onshore, with an increasing percentage of new hires under-35 age. We announce the publication of the d'Amico Group's sixth Sustainability Report! This edition highlights our ongoing efforts to align with the Corporate Social Reporting Directive (CSRD). Since 2018, we've continuously enhanced our #sustainability focus, refining our management system for greater impact on sustainable #development. In 2023, we achieved several key milestones. We completed our first double materiality assessment, identifying #impacts, #risks, and #opportunities (IRO). We also detailed policies for managing risks and material impacts related to sustainability themes and initially aligned our ESG KPIs with the new ESRS standards.
