The power of science for coastal communities: better informed, better prepared.
Chi siamo
Since 2022, the DCC-CR provides crucial support to the Ocean Decade Coordination Unit. Our mission? To facilitate and coordinate efforts dedicated to enhancing coastal resilience within the UN Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development. In the context of the Ocean Decade, our focus is on Challenge 6: Strengthening Community Resilience to Ocean Hazards. We will achieve this through various means, such as assisting endorsed Decade Actions, initiating new ones, engaging with stakeholders, communicating, raising awareness, mobilizing resources, and carefully monitoring and evaluating progress.
