👏 Thank you, Nada Tantawi, for describing Koshari, Egypt's most famous dish—a hearty mix of rice, lentils, and pasta topped with a spicy tomato sauce and crispy onions. 🌾💧🐟 Integrated Agriculture-Aquaculture is vital for improving water use efficiency and food production in Egypt's dry land areas. Through the CGIAR Initiative on Fragility to Resilience in Central and West Asia and North Africa, WorldFish, IWMI and the wider CGIAR centers work to effectively balance water requirements in agriculture and aquatic foods production in Egypt and other dryland areas. This #WorldFoodDay, International Rice Research Institute, International Water Management Institute (IWMI), and WorldFish are coming together to discuss our efforts for a secure and sustainable future where water, food, and aquaculture systems thrive together.
